Heads up on checks from ATH

They give you a choice of printing out your check or having it sent to you. My bank's ATM would not accept them. I was told by the teller, the check I had sent to me was printed on a computer and the ATM will not accept them. You have to bring your check to the teller to deposit it. I will not do their direct deposit, they want your password. My bank has warned me to never give anyone your password. The checks are good. You just have to see the teller.

I did direct deposit and did NOT give them my bank account password.

John974 You do not have to give anyone your pass word. You give them your routing number which is safe. I opened an account years ago, could be just a savings account, have direct deposit into this account just for Mystery shopping. I don't use my household account.

I was asked for my bank account password when I went to sign up for direct deposit last week. They have changed their system.

I have been told by my bank other banks, Amazon, Credit Card companies etc. They never will ask for a Pass Word. What and who's system has changed?
They wanted my bank account password....NO I don't think so...… I request a paper check and it takes an extra two days to get it in the mail. It is a very annoying way to pay someone. If you miss the email then you do not get paid?
I get paid electronically by ath Power, and I have never given them the password that I use to access my bank account.
