You have caller ID? Call them back whether or not they leave a message. What's the harm in that?
Doesn't matter. They are going to look up your shopper ID and tell you what's available in your area. Then you can negotiate your bonus.

I rarely take their call live. I call back as soon as I'm able, hit the number for the correct team, and tell them I am returning their call. They take the shopper number, there's a brief hold, then I'm talking to the person who called me.
"If at first you don't succeed, try, try again." I don't know who said that, but it's a pretty good one. I often get what I ask for, sometimes I don't. If they are calling, it's often because they are desperate. The key is to be polite, patient, and to counter offer until a number can be agreed upon. Or stop where you want and refuse to go lower (politely) and see if they will call you back.

Sometimes they leave a message, sometimes they do not. I think it mostly depends on how many shoppers they see available to reach out too, as well as how much longer they are available.

My posts are solely based on my opinions and for my entertainment, contact a professional if you need real advice.

I actually had a very rude scheduler call me when I first started shopping, and when I declined the shop, he demanded to know why! I was taken aback. I told him because the first time I did the shop I ordered the smallest selections, yet the reimbursement didn’t even cover it. I said if they would increase their reimbursement I might do one again. He had an accent, and I may have taken his words and tone wrong, because many cultures speak much more bluntly than Americans (or he was just rude ... hahaha!) smiling smiley
If they are calling you, the hard work is already done. They know the listed price isn't attracting the help they need and they're digging deeper to find it. They need your help to get the job done. Ask for the price you want.

It's like this. Your report - and those produced by others like you - are the only product they have to sell. They don't make widgets. They don't grow peas. They sell what you make. If you aren't happy with the price they offer, say so and hold out until you are. They may balk and walk away to prove a point. They may do that the next time too. Ultimately, they can't grow or make their product. So they have to make a deal with somebody or go without.

They have to purchase it from you and me. We are the only source for the product they sell. So if your price is fair and it's what you need, don't budge. They will pay it or they won't. They may buy from me instead this time. But I am also insisting on a price I can live with.
When I've returned MF calls the call center always wants to know the name of the person that called me. If I tell them I'm unsure, they inform me the original caller would probably call me back if the still needed me. I've never had them offer or negotiate jobs.

The only way that I get work from them is by phone calls. I don't have voice mail, so I return their calls promptly. Yesterday, I was about to give the person who answered the phone my Shopper ID. She said, "No need. You're one of our favored shoppers. Your ID popped up when I answered the phone."

Hmm, I wonder what info pops up when I call that I get such a different reaction from the call center. Maybe better not to know.
