While I'm glad that the CEO's "donation will improve the lives of millions of people" (must be very substantial!), it's spam to send shoppers stuff unrelated to shopping that they did not request. "In the coming weeks, we will share stories of the impact these social entrepreneurs have had." Please don't. Just don't. I'd bet there are very few of us who don't already donate to places/causes/people that we've chosen. Would you like me to send you an email updating you on the progress of those we've backed? No, I didn't think so. It's spam. Better to send an opt-in email for those who want such solicitations, and stop spamming the emails of those who don't.
