Has Anyone Used Shadow Shopper.us with success?

I found out about shadowshopper on the MSjobboard.com.
Does anyone know if they are legit?
Any and 'all' feedback would be helpful.
Thank you.

I'm signed up with them but I've never done a shop for them. They had a perfume shop 50 miles away a while back. They're legit as far as I know. I see perfume shops, car wash shops and more. A lot of video.

Edited to add: On second look, it may be same name, different site. I'm talking about Shadow Agency-Newmark on Shopmetrics.

ShadowShopper and Shadow Agency aren't the same, as far as I know, unless they're related, and I don't think they are. ShadowShopper isn't a mystery shopping company; it's a job database. They're pretty useless, for the most part. But I got my start in mystery shopping, back in 2013, through them. I was on one of their "try out our paid service for free" deals and applied for something. Not sure what; maybe a generic application. But Ardent contacted me through that for a training they had in my area, and six years later, I'm still shopping. If I recall, though, many of their leads are for product demonstrations, inventory taking, etc. I wouldn't pay to use the service, but it can't hurt to try the free version -- as long as you don't fall for the scams that pop up on there.

I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.
I used them back in 2006 when I didn't know any better than to pay for the leads. It was very useful to me at the time, I got a few of my first shops through the, They were basically a job board. But...If anyone is on this board they know enough that using something like Shadow shopper that you have to pay for would be useless.

I'm thinking twice now because there's not much to their website - coupled with the fact that they are not with MSPA. Thx
Thank you. ^ BirdyC

I would like to point out that there are some great MSCs that are not MSPA. And there have been MSCs in the past that were MSPA members that burned their shoppers. Franchise Compliance was one of them and their owner ran off without paying many shoppers. I lost a couple hundred dollars myself, some others even more. I think Freeman also was MSPA and they also didn't pay some of their shoppers when they went under.

I wouldn't put much stock into the fact that they're not part of MSPA. MSPA is not for the shoppers' protection; it's for their lobbying efforts.

Think twice because you're paying to shop, not because the company didn't pay the hefty fee to join MSPA.
