There are. They are not offered publicly as far as I know, but the company that has them reaches out to the top tier of shoppers to ask if they would be interested. The last I heard (and it's been a while,) it requires a commitment of several months, as the shopper goes from ship to ship.

I've also heard there is little time to actually enjoy the cruise with the number of interactions required and report writing along the way.

Yes. They're publicly offered, and you may apply for them. Whether you'll be assigned one is something entirely different.

There are at least two companies that have them. The reports are upwards of 50 pages of narrative. Worth it for a 10-day balcony cruise. Not so much for a 7-day inside cabin to a destination you've been to several times.

You need to fit the demographic they're after. That could be "first-time cruiser," ethnic minority of one flavor or another, lifestyle choice, over 60, live near a cruise port, tiered membership in a cruise line, etc (even all of the above!) Make certain you're filling out the sections on MSC sites that are asking for these.

Since the cruise lines have not been mentioned, could somebody share which MSCs have them?
