Do all MSC’s ask for social security number?

Or are there companies that don’t ask for it? I have signed up with a couple of companies, only one of them did not required the social.

Do all jobs ask for a social security number? Yes so it follows that all MSCs ask for one as well.
They are required by law to *ask*. Depending upon where you live, you're not required to give it: [www.nbcnews.com]

I'm still getting paid for those "waiting for verification," some of which are more than three years old. So YMMV.

The only MSC's that ask for your SS# are those that actually pay. smiling smiley

Hard work builds character and homework is good for your soul.
I will never get an EIN. I know someone who did that and then they had to buy county and city business licenses yearly.
That depends upon where you live. There is no requirement in general in DE, PA, or NJ, but some local municipalities even in those states may impose different rules.

Shopping Southeast Pennsylvania, Delaware above the canal, and South Jersey since 2008
Do all MSCs request SSNs/EINs. No, but what's the big deal?

I don't like to do business with companies which skirt tax laws, do you?
Why make that assumption, Rous?

I just got an email from the accountant for a msc ive worked with a lot this year. She asked for my ssn or ein. She said most of their shoppers dont go over the $600 threshold. So apparently they dont need it for them.
