A GROSS mis-statement ICU Assocaites

$47 mystery shop--Monroe, Oh.--adults only

Now for the contents:

ICU Associates has a shop for one of our most popular clients - an adult merchandise and toy store in Monroe OH. The shop pays $10 plus up to $7 reimbursement. We have a $20 bonus for new shoppers who register and complete the shop by January 5! Reply to this email if you are interested in learning more. Thank you!

Bob's comment--This is definitely not a $47 shop; it is a $10 job with up to a $7 reimbursement. There is a $20 bonus, but only for new shoppers. Even if one qualifies, the total is still only $37. This, in my opinion, is a classic case of misrepresentation.

That's why they want beginners..who (maybe) don't understand, she says, tongue in cheek.

Live consciously....
I remember my very first retails shop and it was terrifying. I can't imagine it having been at an adult merchandise shop. Those reports are amusing to me now, but would be really difficult to write objectively as a newbie IMHO.

It's not only deceptive (and bath math) but a bit crazy to target this at new shoppers...(and the one by me usually gets bonused to all shoppers near the end of the month). They are probably sick of old shoppers like me holding out for the bonus.
...thanks for correcting!!!!

Although I fail to understand how anyone would deduce the client's name from the city and product they sell, had there been the slightest thought on my end the post was unacceptable, I would have removed the location.
It was easy enough to discern that it was most likely one of two clients, based on the info provided in the original post. I'm a big fan of free speech, but protecting the names of a ms company's clients is critical to the long term success of the companies. There are too many "low rent" ms companies out there who are willing to undercut the pro fees of the higher quality companies and poach their clients. When I started mystery shopping, I wouldn't even consider a shop paying less than $15, and there were not many that paid less than that. Now, thanks to undercutting prices, the fees are in the toilet.
They probably saw Monroe and thought Monroe Muffler. They didn't keep reading to see that it was a town in OH. Hopefully they will rectify their mistake.
