Comply Trac ? Any info?

I got an unsolicited email from them for an on site inspection. Fee $25. 5 pictures needed.
A search if "all dates" on the forum turned up nutting. Any insights appreciated.

It's a nicely done website. Plus, he has a Facebook page and another website:

[omarquislaw.com]

It looks legit. Contact his office and ask if anyone knows about any of this? Maybe someone referred you.
Their BV are few and far between in my area but they are legit, generous with pay on snafus. (Not on my part). Last time I did one, maybe last year, I had to actually print the form. It wouldn’t load to a Evernote to use on my tablet.
Funny I just got one too but it was taken before I decided to do it.
They have few shops for my area but over the past several years i've done about 14 total shops for them. I've always had to download the report, hand-write the responses, scan and upload the document. They only ask for 5/6 photos but since i do a number of inspections for T-Source I always err on the side of taking more than required. I recently received an email to do an inspection about 150 miles north of my location and in the mountains. I requested incentive pay and received an email telling me to only apply for projects in my area. I sent an email back to them wishing them luck in finding someone to do the project for the $55 they were offering. The project is still on their available job list. It would have been a 300 mile roundtrip for me and with weather being tricky in that area there was a possibility I would have had to spend a night there.
Thank you all. I now have an inspection assignment and see that I am supposed to FAX the report and email it, when completed.

I haven't had a fax and donkey's years. Do I really have to pay to fax the report as well as emailing it?

Apparently I signed up with ComplyTraq and was active many years ago. I will be interested to see how this goes. As always, the Forum is a great resource.

Wales, if you have a scanner you can download for FREE a fax program that you can use on your laptop. The one I use is called FaxZero....here is the link: [faxzero.com] You can then scan your report into your computer and fax it from there using this program. Very very simple to use.

With FaxZero you can send a fax UP TO 3 pages PLUS header page for free. So maybe that would cover your fax needs. And you can send UP TO 5 faxes per day for free with the 3 pages/fax limit. Anything over 3 pages is a fee. HTH

Thank you! The report will be 6 pages. I will look to see what the fee would be. Doing it from home is certainly much easier, and more flexible than trekking someplace to do it.

I've been doing Comply business inspections for the past several years. They don't have many and the ones I did all had forms that I had to handwrite answers directly into the form. They do not have a system where you can input directly into an online report. A little annoying because I usually scribble my answers and I have to write a lot more neatly. I have never had to fax the report. They like communication so if I called and got no response I would immediately send a message to them otherwise I'd get an email asking "when are you." I also learned to be very clear when I was submitting the report. So I always send them an email saying my appt. is scheduled for date, time and I will have my report to you by the end of the day.
That is great news, plm. I can scan my handwritten report and email the scan to them. Problem solved.

wales: Just be sure to tell them when you are submitting your report otherwise you will be getting annoying emails asking when you are going to submit the report.
Oh, I was trained by video MSCs to always let schedulers know when I was submitting. And I apply that rule for any high stakes report; cash integrity and onsite inspections are in that class as far as I am concerned, along with EOQ reports of just about any sort. Schedulers nerves need to be respected, lol.

Could you send the report over 2 faxes of 3 pages each and be sure they would get the complete report? I ask because I think FaxZero charges $1.99/page for anything over 3 pages. So if you could send 2 faxes and let them know it's coming in two sets, you could do it free under their 5 faxes/day rule. The $1.99/page is too much for me.
I sent in photos of the report pages once when I was not near a fax machine. I never did fax the originals to them but still got paid. I’ve done their assignments for the last 10 years, as long as they are bonused or really close to home.

I will scan the report, transfer that to my desktop, compress the file and upload it attached to am email, along with the pictures.

Update....
When I had a problem because I missed some information needed during the visit, I found the scheduler very responsive and helpful. I was able to schedule a return visit easily to complete the assignment. Not only was there no negative feedback over this, there was a refreshingly supportive display of confidence. Bsed on this experience, I ill look forward to more work from them.
