Market Force fast casual delivery shops - which delivery service is used?

For anyone who has done one of Market Force's fast casual burger chain delivery shops, which delivery service do you need to use? I have not applied because the chain's own website says they cannot deliver to my address. But I just noticed that Doordash does deliver to me from the local restaurant. The shop details say that the delivery company will be in the CPI. I'd rather not accept and then decline the shop if I discover that I have to use their delivery and cannot do the shop. I won't be doing it this month anyway, since I declined the local shop.

The delivery service varies so unfortunately you don’t know until you accept the shop.
That's amazing, since you have no idea whether they deliver to you before you take the shop! Does MF give you a bad mark if you cancel a shop?
Probably not if you cancel quickly after self-assigning. Now, if it's a last minute "make an offer" or otherwise bonused shop nearing a deadline, maybe it's different.
Do they ever use Doordash for delivery? Do they ever use their own website? i guess I'll try taking the local shop the next time it pops up. Too bad I rejected it since it was up to $15.
I was just referring to the MSC's (likely) policy in general. I haven't done these particular shops. They will probably pop up again. I can say that I have been shopping for this company for about 20 years (since they were Shop-n-Chek) and I have a few times canceled some shops after reading the guidelines and deciding the shops weren't for me, and I am still shopping for them. I am guessing if you don't leave them in a bind and wait until the last minute you are okay.
Every time I've done this shop it's been Doordash. I've done about 6 of them, for 3 different burger locations.

Thanks, that is great to know. Odd that the company would have delivery on their own website and then the shops would use a 3rd party. I guess I should not have refused the shop. I wonder if they can do something to get it back for me, given that these delivery shops never seem to get taken.

In my area, it's Door Dash. A shopper had an idea to have the food delivered to a nearby business if they won't deliver to your house.

Thanks but I'm interested in doing it because I wouldn't have to leave my house. I do remember doing a delivery shop for a local wing chain many years ago and having it delivered to my daughter's office because it was within the delivery zone but my office and house were not.

I really doubt it. I was dinged for rescheduling due to snowstorms that the governor closed the state highways. It is an algorithm, does not give credit. I would advice to just contact the helpdesk, explain the situation and ask if it is A or B delivery company.
What do you mean you got "dinged"? I have never had one single repercussion in 20 years of shopping for them, no matter rescheduling or cancellations.
I did the burger delivery shop a few years ago and it was Door dash. I got the impression they were interested in Door dash more than their interest in the burger place. Someone messed up my delivery and an item was missing, the delivery was late and the food cold. I was even more bummed to find that I had used my first time free delivery offer from Door Dash to do that shop. So for me it was truly not worth it. The amt I gave up in free door dash fees if I ever wanted to use them out of pocket was more than the shop fee.
On the plus side, the delivery guy was really nice.
I just signed up for a DoorPass membership thru my Chase Sapphire Reserve card, so I get free delivery and reduced service fees. Also get $60 reimbursed each year in Doordash purchases that I could presumably use on MF shop purchases.

It's so strange that the chain's own website shows delivery services and then tells you that it cannot do it when they use a 3rd party.

I was "cancelled" once because the algorithm showed 4 cancellations in a year and all of them were for major snowstorms that state emergency was declared. I actually had the help desk and a scheduler look into what was going on and I got reinstated. And I had the silly certificate then of the more than 1000 shops, with no mistakes or anything else.
I was asking you how they "dinged" you. You didn't explain what the repercussions were.
So I emailed them to see if they can assign the declined shop to me. I suspect they answer will be that they can't once I decline it (even though I'm sure they really want to have the shop done).

Update: they told me that they saw I did not decline it permanently so I just needed to wait for the new job to be posted. Of course they did not notice that the current job was still available but just hidden to me.

The delivery shop finally showed up again for me (I had declined it), they must have increased the payment. So I took it for $18. It was with Door Dash. If the support person I had contacted had tried to figure out how to assign it to me instead of telling me to wait for it to come back, I might have done it for less.

I ran into a buzzsaw with one of these delivery shops recently. I live in a highly populated area. There are at least 4 of this restaurant within the normal "delivery range" of 10 miles. I signed up for one for a location we will call Location A. I'd done a few of these before using DoorDash for Location B. What I found to my chagrin was, Doordash will only deliver to my address using Location B, and Uber Eats, the other approved courier, will only deliver from Location C (which is actually farther away from my house than Location A, fancy that).

I didn't really have a place to have the order delivered within the Location A zone, as my workplace is well outside the delivery area and I don't really know anyone socially in that neighborhood. I guess I could have had it delivered to my drugstore or something and raced the delivery guy there but no. Had to cancel.

So were locations B and C not available to take? In my area they seem to go wanting. I wonder if it's because people don't realize, like me, that the delivery area is not what their website says.

Edit: Locations B and C were not offered at this particular time.

So are these monthly shops? A new shop showed up this week after I did it last week, and it's up to $12. I emailed customer service offering to do it for the same price as last time ($18) and they forwarded it but I guess it was not accepted. I'll probably have to wait until later in the month for them to get desperate and increase it again.
In my area, the delivery company choices are Grub Hub and Door Dash, as indicated in the CPI. However, several other possibilities are mentioned in the MF instructions, including ordering on the client's website. So I believe the delivery service decision is geographical. Could be the client decides the delivery company for their location, since the client is a franchise.

One thing to note. When you order through Door Dash, you place the order on the Door Dash website. Then someone manually edits your order and sends it to the client for fulfillment. How do I know this? Because I have an unusual name and although I spelled it correctly on my end, the slip I received from the client had my name misspelled. Also, instead of giving me extra tomatoes, as I had request on the same order, the packing slip with my order said "No Tomatoes." Not sure how it works with Grub Hub, etc.

I think it's much more likely that the error occurred when the restaurant manually entered it in their system after receiving it from DD. There's no reason why Doordash would have to manually retype your order, not to mention that it would lead to delays getting it to the restaurant.

There are always 2 choices of delivery companies in these shops.
My location only has one job posted. Another one in the area shows two shops, maybe they have two delivery companies, but they do not deliver to me (too far).

But the specific shop tells you which company to use.

So how high do these usually go? In January I took it on the last day of the month and it was only $18. This month they were offering $12 but it just changed to $20 (in checking other areas, it seems they all went to $20). I'm trying to decide if I should take it or wait, since no other shopper in my area seems to do it. Amusingly I offered to do it for $18 last week. I emailed the help desk and they forwarded it to scheduling but they never got back to me.

Update: took it for $20.
