Company Recommendations

There are many really good companies out there to choose from who have wonderful employees and support systems to help you along. The best way to find out information about any company is to go to the Search section here and type in the name of the company. Read the shopper remarks. If they have a lot of praise, then great, if they have a lot of complaints, it is a good indicator to stay away. Also, check out their Facebook page and go to reviews on that page. A good company will have a lot of rave reviews from satisfied shoppers. Good luck and enjoy shopping. It is a blast!

Very good comments. One caution. Don't believe everything you read on the internet. Remember, there are no requirements to start an account on the forum and the majority of posters post anonymously. Pay attention to WHICH POSTERS post complaints and WHICH POSTERS post rave reviews. If a poster has been around for awhile, you can see how reasonable their other posts have been so you can determine how sure you can be of validity of their posts. If, on the other hand, a poster registers anonymously and posts once or twice, be careful.

For me, one post from a longtime poster like walesmaven, JASFLALMT, Flash, or others who have been around for a long time trumps 17 posts from one-and-done posters. Be careful who you listen to.
Chicago Val, your advice is sound. I know you haven't posted a lot as of yet but looking forward to getting to know you better. Maybe I will do some shops for Service Scouts if there are any attractive venues in my area.

And that's nice to hear, roflwofl. I feel the same way about what you and MFJ post. Even though MFJ hasn't been around as long as some, he is definitely a voice of reason and has an even-keeled, patient and positive attitude. And you roflwofl, are also a great example of good judgement and you often exhibit kindness to others where I often do NOT. And there are many more who exhibit good judgement in here, not all of who are longtimers...there are just too many to name.

Yeah, many of us have been calling Marketforce MF for a long time, LOL! Hey, didn't someone once accuse you of being a Marketforce employee? I don't even think you have ever done a shop for them, have you?
Yeah, somebody insisted that I was a MarketForce employee - the "MF" really got his/her goat....

For the record, I have completed exactly one shop for them (a nicely bonused cell phone shop in the sticks). I am currently deactivated because they deactivate folks who don't complete at least one shop every three or four months. Just yesterday, I email the help desk and asked to be re-activated. (I figure it's been a year and I've adjusted my habits a little. Plus, they could have new clients.) I got an automated response almost immediately telling me that my email had been read, but I have not heard anything else, yet.

I do about 20 shops a year for them. They have some really easy grocery store shops here that are reimbursement only ($15), but there are no names required, no descriptions needed, and no narrative. It's all "yes" and "no" and the shopper is only required to stay in the store for 20 minutes and the report takes 10. I do those pretty regularly at the stores that are within 5-10 miles from home because I already shop there for my groceries, so why not get them for "free"? Plus tax free money since it's reimbursement. I also do their fast casual burger restaurant when bonused $20 or more (and if convenient). Occasionally I will do their chicken and Asian food restaurants if they are bonused to $20 or more and I am going to be nearby. I never travel for their shops, though. I know others do and some get really great bonuses, so yeah, you might as well get reactivated and see if you can add a few nicely bonused shops to your routes.
Seriously?!
