Market Force - make an offer always declined!

Hi! I was wondering if anyone else has this issue with this MSC. Every time I make an offer it is always declined. I always make reasonable offers (a few dollars more then the shopped pay.) Then, I sometimes see the shop still available the next day with the pay for more then what I offered, and unfortunately, I am unable to complete it due to my schedule. I do between 10-15 shops for this company a month and never cancel, rarely reschedule and have had all shops accepted.

Does anyone else have this issue? Is there some sort of formula to make an offer? (I.e - percentage or dollar amount?) Or does this company just not “like” my work? I find it confusing and frustrating since I am a good, reliable shopper and they have upcoming deadlines and don’t consider reasonable offers from me.

Thanks!

Sometimes they accept my offer, sometimes they don't even when I offer the fee that I last did it for. It appears that the longer a job sits or the closer to a deadline, the higher the fee goes. So, you might bid $2 more than what is poted and have it rejected. Let's pretend that the "acceptable" fee goes up by $1.00 per day. You were turned down, but 3 days later, the algorithm offers the same shop at $1 more than you bid. The Source also accepts bids (called PAD), but they keep the offers alive. If their algorithm is eventually willing to accept your PAD (it might be a week or more if no one underbids you), you are assigned to it.

Shopping Southeast Pennsylvania, Delaware above the canal, and southwestern NJ since 2008
When it's on "make an offer" is the time to call your schedulers. They'll tell you if the caps are off for that shop. If the caps are off, your offer is much more likely to be accepted. Also, there's a good chance the scheduler can schedule it for you while you're still on the phone.

Win-win.
I have never had one accepted. I even submitted one for $0.50 more to just see. Not accepted. If I really want an assignment in the future I will take ceasesmith's recommendation and call.
I had my first ever accepted a few days ago. It was for the fee I've done the location for in the past but have never been accepted using make an offer. ceasesmith, I've never had a scheduler's number for this MSC unless you count the 800 number to the overseas call center. Having two way contact with a scheduler at this MSC would make shopping for them much easier.
There was a dry spell for awhile. I put in an offer of $10 over what they had posted and was accepted. Shocking.
I have a list of numbers someplace but I don't know what I did with them. If I find them I should call and say Hey I can do XXX shop for XXX amt.

There have been times I have been driving and they would call and I would miss it. I follow the rules of the road and I don't talk and drive (Like most people) and I don't have that all that special equipment either that people have. May be some day I can catch them while I AM PARKED
Isaiah, I used to do the same thing. My phone gives me the phone number that called my phone; when I AM parked, I just call back. Having a smart phone makes that possible.

wwin, you can also e-mail the help desk "please have a scheduler call me about XXXX shop in XXXX city". They'll forward the e-mail.
I find it is mostly hit or miss with the make an offer I think it is running 60/40 on acceptance for me.
with the grocery store client i am 2 for 2. with the burger client maybe 50%. With the grocery client i have asked 50% more (no biggie, it's a low fee) on top of the fee plus reimburse of course. With the burger client I am a little more aggressive on the ask, which would explain the lower accept rate
My offers in the early part of the month are mostly declined, though sometimes they surprise me and accept. My offers towards the end of the month are almost always accepted. They get desperate at the end of the month and will pay you what you want. At least in my area. I do a lot more shops the last 2 weeks of the month than the first two. Every 3 or 4 months my offer goes up by $5 and once it is accepted I make that my new usual fee. I won't do a shop below that fee. I do less work and make more money. I know eventually the fee will not be accepted and made my usual fee, but I'll keep going up by $5 until then.
I don't remember the time that I sent in but I MAO on an shop on the 10th. I think it was around 5:00 PM. As of 5:00 PM on the 11th I have not heard back from them. I could have either done the shop either today the 11th or tomorrow the 12th

I know if they accept the offer I'll get an e-mail if not I won't get one. I will be i that part of town where the shop is around 2:00 PM

I will have access to my e-mail but I won't be near my computer till later tomorrow night.. Every time I accept a MF shop I do it from my computer.

I know the last time I MAO on an shop around 5 PM i knew something the next day around 8 AM.

My question is what happens if they give me the shop after 2 PM? Can I cancel with out penalty? Today or tomorrow is the only two days I can do this.

Can I e-mail help desk saying that I will be in that part of town tomorrow afternoon and please let me know.

Thanks

If the caps are not yet lifted, you won't get the shop.

Every single time I've had a MAO accepted, I would get the acceptance e-mail practically before I could get to my e-mail!

Except once.

Isaiah, if you deal directly with schedulers, you don't have to wait. They can assign while you're on the phone.
