Secret Hopper

I just found this site and thought it might be interesting to some of the forum members. It's a mystery shopping site for those that are into beer. I don't drink so, the site is not good for me but, might be great for someone else. I just wanted to share. [www.secrethopper.com]

I thought this was a revival of an old thread. This was talked about a few years back. I signed up and they never contacted me.
It wasn't fun when they didn't contact me!!! There are lots and lots of breweries around here.
My first thought was a shop involving some sort of work with commodes, since a "hopper" is an old-time term for a commode...lol!!
Think the thread is funner than the shops would be... grinning smiley

Has anyone been approved? I don't drink beer, so I wonder if it expends to spirits as well.
Did anyone else think there was a typo in the title or was it just me?

A little nonsense now and then, is relished by the wisest men.
I am guessing that they are looking for bar hoppers (specifically beer lovers) who can successfully evaluate locations and possibly compare beer products. Just think of all those micro and macro beers....

I think “hopper” is more a play on beer ingredient (hops) than than a customer who hops between bars.

Right but there's a prominent MSC whose name sounds almost exactly like "Secret Hopper." That's what threw me initially.
I have my first Secret Hop scheduled for Sunday! I applied and they happened to have a shop near me. I will keep you all updated on what happens. Just an FYI they pay a flat fee no reimbursements. I am not sure if it will cover the costs of the required purchases but, it's a fun outing for me either way.
