We Go Look

I had a Look scheduled at a marina on Saturday that went sideways. I let WGL know what happened and they said they would look in to it. Today, I got a call from the boat broker. He had no idea what was going on, and neither did I!

When I receive a Look, the guidelines say where to go and what to take pictures of. The broker talked about the boat, the buyer, the insurance company and other entities I was unaware of.

I don't think it's appropriate for them to give out Lookers' contact information. I was blindsided by this.

No, they should not give you contact information out.....

Hard work builds character and homework is good for your soul.
Years ago I did a car Look for an elderly lady. She was very nice and understood who I was and what I was there to do. I complete the Look, submit. A few hours later I get a call from her insurance agent! wanting to know who I was, how I got her information, what I was doing etc. I was pretty stunned, answered the questions in a vague sort of way and with the same information I provided the customer. Called WGL, they were stunned too. Since I had to leave a message with my phone when calling to schedule the appointment, I think perhaps the customer called her agent, maybe confused maybe not, and gave the information, my name and phone, to her agent. it was creepy for sure.
That's foul! Why is WGL using Lookers as the middle man? They are the ones who should be answering the questions from agents. The broker who called me, when I could not answer any of his questions, said "It sounds like the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing."

That's an understatement.

This is exactly why I deactivated from WGL. We are independent contractors, not employees. I got sick and tired of fixing their communication messes with their contacts, rearranging my shopping schedule to accommodate their errors. Once or twice was OK, but it became the norm. Our time is money, and for WGL to expect their "lookers" to perform services their staff should be handling, and without pay, is both insulting, but likely a violation of the IC agreement entered with this company.
I did a couple of cases with We Go Look about a year and a half ago and had some of the exact same issues. I will NOT do a case for them again because of it and they still do call quite often. We Go Look and Onsource both ask you to do a courtesy call to the contact before arrival (I simply will not do the courtesy call because of this issue, as it implies that you know something about their insurance claim). Calls to We Go Look in Oklahoma City leave me with a feeling of incompetence in their office. BTW, their is also incompetence in the claims offices of major insurance carriers. The one good thing for both We Go Look and Onsource is both companies pay weekly and pay direct deposit and pay on time.
Does anyone know of another company that does what these two companies do? I enjoy this type of work as long as I am dealing with competence.
That is why I stopped working for them. How many times can you call to schedule (I did not mind that, as I could schedule it when it was convenient for me) and get told the car is in another state.
Bottom line is they cut and paste contact info with no verification. Very unprofessional company!
Yes, I have had that happen as well. I get scheduled for an auto damage assignment at a salvage yard only to find out the car is in another state.

Try Trend Source for their onsite inspections.

I received a call from them today due to a wrong address. They were actually useful.
