I did my first and only job in November 2019 for $ 50, and I am still waiting to be paid

My first and only job for Cirrus was in November 2019 for $ 50. I submitted my invoice at the beginning of December 2019. The deposit should have been done to my PayPal account by midFebruary. I have called Cirrus on multiple occassions and emailed my coordinator Kelly Hamilton and invoice@cirrusmktg.com, but nobody returns my calls nor answers my emails. What have others like me in this situation have done?

There have been years of threads about this company. Sorry this has happened to you.
Why they are still in business and why people continue to do work for this MSC is beyond me.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
Try to email the owner: Monnie Howard; mhoward@cirrusmktg.com

I've always been paid by this company - but have had to chase payments several times. When I have contacted Monnie, I have always been paid very quickly.

Hard work builds character and homework is good for your soul.
It's not usually like that, by the way. You picked a bad apple to start with but don't let that discourage you. Nearly all pay according to their schedule without having to be pressed.
BuffaloNY posts--Why they are still in business and why people continue to do work for this MSC is beyond me.

Bob agrees--I will NOT chase payments, but MFJ makes a valid point that if one is so willing to take such an action, it can be profitable. Just be prepared to be bitten in the arse.
bob, I am willing to bet that Cirrus has very few repeat shoppers. I think they rely on new shoppers who are unfamiliar with them.

If that were the case, I think we would see even more posts about them here. It would be a difficult business model to always have new shoppers for every shop...especially for some of the involved ones they do.

I suspect that they instead have a small core of shoppers who know their system and will put up with the long pay schedule, and reminders required to get paid. The straggler shops are them picked up by new shoppers. The company does seem to eventually pay. Just on they own crazy schedule, after you jump through the required hoops.

I did a restaurant shop for them a few years ago. I took it because I was going to be in that particular area for the day, and would need a meal. I knew the issues with the company going int, but the scheduling, instructions and reporting for the assignment were all handled professionally. It had a decent pay rate for the amount of work and was a nice location. I was careful to follow the guidelines for submitting an invoice and set my calendar for the pay date. When that date came and went with no pay, I sent a payment reminder and the money showed up a few days later. It was one additional step, so if it was a shop I wanted again in a location I would be returning to...I could see someone doing it regularly with the understanding that a reminder might be needed.
I agree with Steve that the extra step of asking for payment when do could be worth it depending on the shop and pay. I rarely do work for such companies that take so long to pay and have to be reminded but there can be the occasional assignment worth it. This a good reminder why it is important to keep meticulous records.
