I used to do a lot for Trendsource but since they have decided that I need a background check to do the work at the same old price the jobs were always offered for, I have decided not to play. But they are reliable about their payments.
I only know about Trendsource -- this is one of those companies that doesn't make the job board accessible until you complete a shop. Notice of an available initial shop comes via email. If you've been registered for a long time and haven't received anything, perhaps they don't have anything in your area. Might not be a bad idea to call or email and ask. I find them to be very responsive when I've had to get in touch. (I don't do the shops that require a background check.)
I have done a few jobs for Trendsource now. They are reliable for payment and have jobs in my area, Phoenix AZ. The bad thing I've found out so far is that initially they will accept a bunch of people who may be applying for one job and send out approvals to lots of people. The person who responds first gets the job. I prefer self-scheduling or just requesting assignments. Now that I have done a few jobs though, they upgraded my status and I am able to self-assign for some shops and apparently get priority for other shops. The jobs go super fast so I haven't done many assignments for them, but the jobs I have done have paid well... $15 to $20 per shop. Hope that helps smiling smiley
I don't recall when the job board becomes visible, or the number of shops required before stars appear smiling smiley and shops can be self-assigned. TrendSource is a good company to work with.
The board became visible to me after my first shop. As for self-assign, I THINK it's after five shops -- I can't recall, either!

You know they have not enforced that, right? If you have done BV for them recently, you will see yourself as "certified" (little brown briefcase) up next to your star. I've talked to many a shopper that has figured that out now that we are 2 weeks past the second deadline. Still getting e-mailed BV/site inspections also.
I am aware that it is not enforced. I am getting emails for the work. My reaction is that I don't plan on being a "second class citizen" because I won't play. I want that "requirement" gone because as it is they could theoretically disqualify work done and refuse to pay if you have not met the "requirements". It is really a matter of principle with me rather than anything else. Either it IS or it IS NOT a requirement and they are not honorable if they claim it IS and nevertheless would pay me to work without it. Sorry about the soap box.
The background check may or may not be required, and may or may not be reimbursed. However, either the background check is required, or it's not. Whose deadlines have come and gone, twice ~ TS or clients? If the majority of shoppers are not willing to subject to a background check, even with no out of pocket, will the clients find another MSP? Where to, then? To an MSP who has a corral of shoppers who are willing to subject to the background check?

I certainly don't purport that MSP or shopper has the other over a barrel. But, as Flash says, there are principles involved. Proper screening could and should satisfy the concerns.
