It's so variable from place to place. And every person's individual preferences, skill, and availability is different. My list likely wouldn't do you much good unless you live next door, are an identical twin and the same gender, and have identical tastes and time.
There really is no shortcut. Sign up for companies (starting with those at the top of the list below), pick some things that sound promising, and try them out. If you like it, sign up for more and try to do so good a job that they can't live without you.
If you hate it, just shake the dust off your feet and move on to something else.
Once you've proven yourself, be bold when asking for he rate you feel is fair for the work involved. If you don't ask, you don't get.
