In my area most of the shops are listed at no fee. What are they thinking? I'm just going to sit at home and receive those hefty unemployment checks.
They are offering their usual reimbursement, either for the regular shop or the one with the sandwich order. But I'm not shopping just for reimbursement, that's for sure! Heck, I'm already getting bonused grocery shops with a DIFFERENT MSC. I'm sure not shopping for reimbursement for MF!!
I asked them when the shopper fees were coming back. They said they didn't know.

I didn't mind doing the grocery stores for no fee as long as the reimbursement is decent (ie, not $5).

Prior to COVID, the MF grocery store shops had a fee when someone flaked. I would pick up one or two a month this way.

In my area, prior to Covid, MF grocery shops ALWAYS had a fee PLUS the reimbursement. It was a $5 fee plus $12 or $15 reimbursement, depending on the scenario. I wish they came back with the fee, now it's just the reimbursement. I'm gonna sit on it for awhile to see if they ever get bonused.

They figure that you are getting the extra $600 a week unemployment because you are self-employed. Which unfortunately I did not get because I am getting SSI disability. Oh and a lot of shops they have they are looking to not pay you except reimbursement.

The shops the OP is talking about previously had reimbursement AND pay. I won’t be taking the same shop for less money. Especially when Trendsource’s client in my area has made their grocery store easier for the same pay.
2stepps, getting an EIN is is simple. You apply for it on the IRS website and it's issued after you hit submit. It allows you to get more work with them.

There's another MSC that at the end of the month always offers grocery shops for $27+ and $5 reimbursement AND requires less time in the store. I'll be starting those up again when I'm home!

Looks like MF profanity.
I never would have pegged guysmom as having such a potty mouth...lol

Remember when someone thought MFJohnston worked for Marketforce because of his initials?

They figure someone will take them, or at least enough of them to make the total cost of scheduling these shops cheaper than if they started out with a small fee for all the shops.

Why pay us lowly shoppers more than they have to? They are trying to create a new (lower) level of expectations and make that the new normal. Then, they can keep playing this game if enough shops get done and are accepted by the client.

Samuel L. Jackson would be a great spokesperson for them. Too bad for MF that he doesn't work for reimbursement only.

You are not working for nothing. You are literally working for food. :-(
