Is this typical of MF? (Re: Make An Offer)

So in the past month, I’ve submitted my desired fee on the “Make An Offer” button. I felt my offers were very reasonable. They were all within $3 of the stated fee. I never heard back from MF. When I logged on and looked at those shops, all of them were still available and were now at the fees I had requested! Next to them it read something like “Your fee offer was denied.” So I then signed up and got all of them at the fees I requested.

WTH? Is it normal for MF to deny reasonable offers and then have the increased amount listed for available assignments? Why are they denying my fee offers?

In my experience, there is no "normal" for MF "Make An Offer" shops. If you figure out how it works please share.
Yeah, I've had offers rejected, and then they raise the price to what you asked for. Many of us have found that once you get a price for a specific location, you can request it again and you will generally get it. It doesn't seem to be working quite that way with their fast casual client at the moment, although I did get $2 extra for one location last week.

Also, others have reported getting rejected for even a dollar more than the offer price, which makes you wonder why they even allow you to make an offer if they're never going to accept it.
I believe it really depends on who is working on the assignment board that day. There have been times where every 'green leaf' job I applied for gets accepted, but other days none. I have decided it is the personality of the person behind-the-scene who makes the difference.

But it seemed like at one point their system would automatically accept some offers within a certain limit or parameter. Now that doesn't seem to the case anymore.
