Ardent - are they out of business?

Checked their website on Safari, then on Chrome, and it's a dead link. Anybody know if they are kaput? I just got started with them late 2019, and they only had one client, but I only got to do 2 shops before Covid, and would be sad if it's over.

Wow. I was wondering about them too. Got the same result when attempting to visit their website. Maybe some folks here know something. Here is contact information for one of the owners if you want to try and get in touch with them: 720-215-6965, bryant@ardentservices.net. If you do, please report back here on what you found.
I did a little digging and saw that one of the main folks in the company (either the someone of the family owned the company, or he did, or some other dynamic). Either way, he moved onto another role per his LinkedIn, with his role with Ardent Services ending in Aug 2020. If they're on the forum, hope you and the family are doing alright! Sad to find out this way sad smiley

The folks with Ardent Services were a pleasure to work with, including the schedulers they had on-board.

Shopping the Greater Denver Area, Colorado Springs and in-between in Colorado. 33 year old male and willing to travel!
Yes, it looks like he closed up shop and has moved on to a management training program at Chipotle. It appears that his brother jumped ship in late 2019. Many shoppers were with them for several years. This was a pretty crappy way to end things. A heads up, "thank you," and "goodbye" would have been the decent thing to do.

One of their clients had finally come to my area so I had only just begun with one shop for them. I am kind of relieved now because I was negatively impressed with the client and lengthy report. I am glad it won't be offered to me again!
In my experience with Ardent (over 10 years), Tracey (owner) and Deanna (scheduler) were wonderful. I dealt with Mike rarely, but he was always professional. Bryant was OK. Corey? Not so much, but I wish him well at Chipotle. If Corey was the one in charge in the end, I am not surprised he did not reach out to the shoppers.

To this day, I would gladly shop for Deanna.
If anyone hears from Michelle let us know. I'd be happy to shop for any MSC that hires her.
I miss the Mexican and burger shops. I hope they decide to shop and pick a decent company to work with.

I think if they no longer exist, it’s no breach of rules to name their clients

Depends on the ICA for that MSC. In general, I thought on this forum we were advised not to mention the client, even a former one.
This company encouraged you to name it. It wasn’t in the ICA, but may be against the rules on this board.
That is so sad,. I get emails from their recently shopped burger place and was just waiting until my city would open up and the mystery shop program would return. Yes, it would have been nice if they had sent their shoppers a heads up. Is there a possibility they took their site down just until things start up again? I think restaurants will be among the last types of shops to return. I imagine for a national chain it would be difficult to keep track of the openings and closings county by county and city by city across the country.
There are a number of restaurants starting to shop, but there is probably enough going on with cleaning requirements, health guidelines, and staffing. I can't blame any restaurant for not mystery shopping.

I may have her non-Ardent email address in my archives as I think she emailed me from it once.
Very unlikely. The brothers who ran the business have moved on. Corey now works for Chipotle and Bryant works in financial services.

According email from Michelle (dated on April 1) all shops were suspended shops because of current situation with COVID-19.

I did not get that e-mail. Ardent ceased operations in August though, which is why the website no longer exists. Take a look at one of the former owners' LinkedIn profiles: [www.linkedin.com].

Deanna left them a while ago, when they lost Chipotle account. She is scheduler for another mystery shopping co.

It would have been nice if they had sent an email to their shoppers letting us know about this. Many of us have worked for Ardent for a number of years, attended the in person training, and developed relationships with the Ardent scheduler’s and owners. I know it’s just a business but I always felt working for Ardent was different than my other MSC’s. It would have been the proper thing to do and it’s still not too late.
I checked few MSC and their sites also unavailable..maybe they lost their busnesses and decided not to pay for websites supports.

It would make sense to me that a company that is on hold for now may take down their website. I run a meetup and have not taken down my group even though I have cancelled and deleted every meetup since March. But I still get people contacting me and signing up for the Cancelled due to Covid events. That means for my small group I have to monitor what is going on. So for a small mystery shop company to suspend their business and also suspend their website and not having to check it daily makes a lot of sense to me. Those of you who have seen the owners of Ardent have other jobs, you may be correct but they, like everyone else need to pay the rent and get food on the table so even if they have taken another job that does not mean to me if their large lucrative client contacts them sometime in the future they will pass up the opportunity. Maybe they will, maybe they won't.
If you know them personally and they have told you they are done that would be a better indication,
I still feel that a simple email to registered shoppers informing us of their current situation would have been the proper thing to do.
You are correct. I have heard from very few of my companies and most I have heard from have had a smattering of jobs recently or always.
Hi, all. I haven't been here in ages...okay, years! Except for an occasional pickup elsewhere, I pretty much stopped shopping for all but two companies, Ardent being one of them. I tried to access the site the other day as well, looking to confirm some info. for taxes. I emailed Michelle but it bounced back and like someone else mentioned, I too remembered getting an email from a non-Ardent address. I dug it up and wrote to ask about Ardent and check to see if she was doing okay but haven't heard back to date. I will post if I get a reply and hope that others will do the same. I don't have an email for Deanna but she may still be a FB "friend" to some people who shopped for the Mexican joint and were part of the now defunct Facebook group. I hope everyone here is doing okay.
