It depends.

For the first audit, you might need more time simply because you are still learning the process and want to complete all the tasks. Even when you are experienced, you might have to wait while employees work with their customers. If all is smooth and flowing, the audit can be completed in about half an hour. But do not be surprised if you need all the time that is mentioned in the guidelines.

Complicated-- as compared to what other assignment? If you really study the information, the various tasks will not seem so strange or disparate. This is just a matter of being prepared and allowing enough time so that you do not feel frazzled on site.

MF has two phone audits. Which one? The one for the green insect is easy and doesn't take much time. I've never done the other one, but have read here on the forum that there are a lot of pages to print out, and that it's not worth doing at the base pay. So it depends on which one your are doing.
I’ve done the tax company audit for them before and it takes me around 10-15 minutes. I guess this is a pass for me if it’s going to take a significant amount of time. Thanks!!
I'm not talking about the tax company audit. There is a phone audit with the green insect that is also the name of the wireless carrier. Those are easy. And some are bonused. They usually start at $14, but I did two last week that were $25 each. If those are the ones you mean, and they are bonused, you might want to grab one and see. They're easy.
I have never seen the green insect I have seen plenty of brown ones that can drive you crazy at night if one is in the house. I did not know that there was a cellphone company called Grasshopper? All I know about grasshoppers is that you have to snatch a rock out of some old man's hand.
I think the insect company's logo is green. The insect itself may be brown and noisy on a summer night.

Yes, that is correct. There is no "grasshopper" cell phone company. The logo is green, but the insect isn't. That is correct.
Doing my first one next week. Audit is a full week away but the "first shop butterflies" are already flying around my stomach. I actually got it as a lark, MF put a "make an offer" on it and just for poops and grins I submitted a crazy-high bid I didn't think they'd accept. They accepted it, they must be really desperate to get these audits done. (They routinely reject my $1 above-offer "make an offer" bids for their "who wants a burger?" client where the shops move off the board more easily.)

I won't say exactly what my "above-offer" bid was on this audit but it was significantly more than $1

Any tips for a first-timer on how to make these run as smoothly as possible? Advice would be very appreciated, thanks.

Hey KoKo, Be sure and do your pre-calls as instructed in the guidelines, and report on it before you go do your shops. The shops are easy. Sometimes, the employees get all shook up at having to answer all these questions. Just put them at ease. I have said things like, "Well, it says in your LOA that you can use anything or anybody to help you answer the questions, so just look at it as an open book pop quiz!" That usually puts them at ease. And don't forget to check for the iPhones and graphic before you leave. When you go to report this, it can be confusing the first time, because you get into the survey, and then it looks like you can't proceed. But if you hit the "Back" button, you can get to the question that lets you go forward. Crazy, I know, but that seems to be how it works! Have fun and enjoy your bonus. When you see how easy these are, you'll want to do more when they pop up again. Good luck!
