Who Is Kantar?

I received an email from David referring me to a clientsmart site. Anyone else receive this?

Yes - I did... Kantar is a huge parent company that owns Market Approach and TNS... they are huge, possibly the biggest marketing research company in the world, or at least in the top 10.
Thanks MickyB!

it would have been nice if the sender had identified himself and the MCS....just saying.

He basically did by providing the link which has the company name right there.
He, whomever he was, provided a link. That was not an introduction.

Really? I don't have time to read introduction emails. Just offer me the job with clear requirements and appropriate fees. Easy peasy.
Not so for experienced shoppers who are aware of scams and hacking attempts.
Unless the sender states who they are and their MSC affiliation, it gets deleted.

I have no shortage of job offers from established MSC's, and being an video shopper ups my game.

It is unwise to click on links embedded in emails, unless you are certain you know who sent the email and for what purpose. In this case, there was nothing to identify who this Kantar person is, despite being a known MSC heavy hitter. I never heard of this person, and consequently, their email was deleted.

The end result is a missed opportunity to have a 9+ rated experienced shopper available.

Exactly! When I read the email, right away I thought "the new $300 gift card scam."

Kantar owns TNS but not Market Approach. Market Approach is a well established (about 17 years, IIRC), independent company that schedules for Kantar TNS. Market Approach also offers shops that have nothing to do with Kantar TNS.

There have been threads about this. Kimberly, the owner of Market Approach, has posted here more than once and explained the relationships. She mentioned David in one of those posts.

I know David as a scheduler. He is very easy to work with, as is Kimberly.
Just got an email from them for some shops in OKC but not in Tulsa they said those went to their favorite shoppers, not really but that is the way I read it.
Just got another email from Kantar, with no identifying info as to the MSC, etc. only an embedded link. I am glad to know this person is a scheduler and is real. I will pursue this to see if I am even signed up with the MSC Kantar schedules for.
When I send out emails, my name, contact info, and my training/membership # are attached to the email for easy reference. This is just good business practice.
From what I gathered from the e-mail I received, they changed websites for some reason.

The old website has a message that there are few if any shops listed because they are listed on the new website.

TNS was once a really fun MSC to work for until they got bought out by Kantar.

How so?
How so that TNS was a good MSC? They had profitable shops when offered, and paid in a reasonable time frame. I never had issue with them when it came to getting paid.
Yes, this is legitimate. David and Kimberly schedule for Kantar This site is related to TNS and Market Approach.
I did a few shops fir TNS. That may be how/why Kantar has my email address.

I also enjoyed their shops, but thought the sign in process was bizarre.
