Not enough time

I applied to do some gas station shops for Maritz ( Ipsos). The dates I chose were 11/14-15 I was told that I could not self assign. This morning at 4:30 Am ( 112/16) I received notice that I had been assigned and shortly thereafter I received an overdue notice,.
I am trying to contact them by email and thru their email site but probably will do them anyway since I need the gas anyway and will explain in the notes that I did not receive acceptance until it was past due.
The company or the assigner could give a bit more time.

I agree.

What might have happened in this case though is the shops were assigned yesterday and you only received notice this morning. That is still short notice - assigning the shops the day they were due. Maritz used to call before assigning shops to confirm we still wanted them. About a year ago they stopped calling and simply assign them - and then email us about it the next day.
Ah yes, I miss the phone contact that Ipsos lacks and used to be with Maritz. Would love to have those lovely old ladies back. As well as the younger ones.
And if you email the Kern scheduler, he will send a rude email warning you that no further extensions will be given, even in situations where the shopper could not possibly have completed the shops by the due date since they were assigned at the last minute. I had some that were assigned at 8:22 PM, due THAT NIGHT, several hours away from me, and he warned me that no further extensions would be given, even though they were assigned for the wrong dates in the first place.
Nah. Reminds me of that old saw: Your failure to plan does not constitute an emergency for ME.

Ipsos is not very good or quick at responding to emails but I recently had to ask for an extension due to waiting for PCR COVID-19 test results. When they did respond, they gave me a 2-day extension.
I bet the client has several direct ???? phone numbers. Zero wait time ty speak to someone.
