Movie Measure and Theatre assignment info

I thought I'd start a thread with information about when Movie Measure assignments became available, about different types of assignments offered, as well how to sign up with Movie Measure and other related companies that are still offering Theater assignments. Also a place where we can share our stories about theater jobs we have done. The other thread went way off topic and started to become a negative place. Yes, theaters are struggling now, but so are many other places. So this is a positive thread.

The Ankler, Bulwark and Deadline websites are good reads regarding the current state of exhibition.
Hope Wonder Woman works out for these movie theaters. Was thrilled doing the Croods trailer check for Movie Measure who paid promptly.
Verites: Did they institute online pay vouchers?

I think the lack of new releases of the big films as in blockbusters has a lot to do with it too. They are only releasing a few little known ones now that have very little following. There are still people willing to go to the theater. The biggest problem is there is still unfortunately a good number of people who are stubborn and don't want to wear a mask. I have no problem with it whatsoever, and to be honest watching a film at home on my 55 inch just doesn't compare to the big screen. I will continue to go and support the theaters as long as they are open. I think Wonder Woman will do decent. Not like before the pandemic by any means, some people are still afraid, But I think it will do better than Tenet. I also believe once the vaccine is more widely given, people will be more confident.
No, They are still paying by paper checks! That has not changed. I missed out on the MM croods, so far MM has not had anything in my area since Tenet, I keep hoping, but they have really cut back on the availabilty. I do have an open checking for VeriTes for Wonder Woman though and I am really excited about that.

cybersst, agree on all points with you. Not asking about paper checks, wondered if the paper pay voucher went online. A few Verites staff now work at MM.
Many new films are
postponed into 2021. But thereafter there will be a product shortage. Currently NYC filming is 100% streaming, no feature films. A viable solution would be to run some streaming films in theaters either before or during their home telecasts. "The Irishman" sold out every showing at Alamo Drafthouse.
I'm not sure what you mean by paper pay voucher. I know they still do invoice. But that probably is not what you mean. I know Some Verites went to MM and I get emails from one them about upcoming assignments. It's a little weird, but glad they are still doing the same kind of work. I know next year will definitely have more releases if they stick to the schedule and they will be big movies. But that still is a big if. Here's hoping they stick to it. I'm in FL, so we are getting films released in theaters, but again they are the little known ones, that no one really knows anything about unless they have been going to the movies, and have seen trailers for, them or simply looked up the trailers, when they looked up what was playing that week. I hope they would do both, run streaming and in theaters, preferably in theaters first then go to streaming, just to give theaters a chance. It's way cheaper to go to a theater now, then to spend the 20 or 30 to stream it. My local AMC does 4.99 matinees, that's dirt cheap. You don't have to buy concessions and all, or with the money you save on ticket prices you can. Either way with those prices you can afford to support theaters now.

Sorry for the confusion on my wording. My printer died and the library is closed, so wondered if a scanned or cell pic of the paper pay voucher is still needed. Pray the theaters come back to life when the vaccine gets widely implemented. Want to get an empty vaccine bottle as a souvenir and collectible.
I assume it still is, otherwise what would they have in order to pay you with? They would need some sort of invoice to go by, since it isn't all done electronically. You can always reach out to your scheduler and ask, now that they are up and running and in business again. This will be my first assignment I have had with them in over 9 months. My last one was Onward in march. So it's been so long I had to ask what my log in was again.
I'm not so sure they would give you the vaccine bottle, but that would definitely be quite the conversation piece, if you could swing it.
Was heartened by receiving the e-mail from Verites, only there is just one location in Michigan for Wonder Woman, which is 90 miles distant. Still, the yearning to get back to the familIar prompted the response that there was a marginal possibility of accepting the check for Jan. 2nd.

Also agree that the other thread had become way off- as in "off planet" !
Yes, Indeed, as far as off topic, I even suggested to start a different thread, but of course that went unheard. I actually lucked out with VeriTes and got a location for WW84 near me. So I will get to work that one on Jan 2. I was little saddened to see that MM is still really limited and none of the locations are near me, and my regular location has not yet been added back. So here's hoping once 2021 gets here that all the movies scheduled actually keep their release dates.

Excuse me for my ignorance, but are you talking about doing trailer checks for these two companies?

If so, once you do the trailer check, can you stay and watch the movie?
Trailer checks were done last week for WW84 for Movie Measure, VeriTes has not had trailer checks in a little bit. No apologies needed. No, you are not allowed by either company to stay and watch the movie after conducting trailer checks. You must buy a ticket in order to see the movie.
