SeeLevel - are they going to be viable in 2021

Seems like they have less and less work, and are being more and more ornery....hmmm...can anyone else chime in on them?

No inside word, but I still get plenty of emails from them for (very far away) tacos and industrial vehicle shops. I miss their occasional food delivery study shops and the sushi supermarket shop (although the requirement of three knowledge questions had practically made it a revealed shop). Still, they've had a lot more shops during Covid than plenty of other MSCs.

I did two shops for them in 2020. There were not a lot of choices.

For me, they have not been viable in years. There are few shops near me and the fees are always low so I pass on all of them.

I agree with the ornery. One scheduler just argues with me! I don't have TIME to argue! No, I will not EVER do your shop for $8! Go ahead and threaten me -- what will I lose if you refuse to schedule me? Rotflmfao!

Same argument, every month -- and every month, I end up doing them at the end of the month for $40 or $50 instead of the reasonable $25 I requested earlier in the month.

But they sure have plenty of shops. On the job board, there's more than 60 in my area.

I've only seen one shop on the board since March. I did it, and will wait at least a year for rotation before I would do it again.

I remember an restaurant shop that I did with them several times.. Sadly, the one in my area closed last year I believe. In fact before they closed, they stop doing them.. They had pretty good food

I used to love their coffee shop and sushi jobs, but neither have been around since the pandemic started.

I haven't shopped for them in a long time. I used to do some retail for them, but of course, retail shops are just about gone plus I rarely do retail any longer.

Sorry I'm not on the forums much anymore, but someone called this out to me. I am very excited about 2021 so I just had to come here and let you know -- we are very much alive and well and 2021 is a huge year for us. It'll be our biggest year ever actually. We have some amazing shops coming in March 2021 that are easy, pay well, and will be everywhere (eventually in Canada too).

We have also been negotiating current contracts and you'll start to see fee increases and/or shorter forms in February 2021 as well (actually many shops have already had this done in Q4 2020).

We might have been quiet but we've been very busy!

So, make sure you are registered with us! Starting in February we'll start posting 3-4x shops as the previous month and March should be 8-10x bigger than February!

I just did one of their fast food shops because they happen to be right around the corner from the house. Didn't realize it's now a reveal for the same money it used to be as a mystery shop.

...proof is in the pudding....nothing within 400 miles of my home for the last four weeks....

They only have ATV shops in my area. I've done a few of them when there were bonuses. For some reason I've avoided them of late.

Thanks Heather and the answer is yes! The current plan is Q2.

We know this has been one of the most unpopular shops we have (the ATV shops). We have worked with the client to remove about 20 yes/no questions and 8 narrative questions from these forms and the fee is going up slightly. We are going to remove another 10 questions from the form starting in March and keep the higher fee.
We wanted to have all of the changes in place for February but just were not able to get them all in there fast enough.
Unfortunately, not all of our mystery shops will see a fee increase, but thousands of them will.
