Dark Audit pay halved because location was closed?

I did a nicely bonused audit but my pay was halved because the location was closed during business hours. I can't find anything in the documentation from IPSOS about half pay for closed locations. The last time I did one and the location was closed during business hours I got full pay. Has this happened to anyone else?

Yes, and the scheduler said that if they close early so they are closed during darkness, or they were closed during regular hours then it is half. Thankfully I was at the area for a highly bonused route for another company, or I would have been very upset to drive in the middle of nowhere and get half fee.
Yeah, I'm a bit annoyed. I probably wouldn't have taken the shop for the fee I ended up with. I checked my records from last year and I received full pay on a location that was closed. Grr. It makes no sense, the time spend at the site isn't much different between open and closed.
If this is Ipsos, I think they reduce pay on ALL projects when these circumstances arise.
Just a bump in case people saw the email that went out today. It is not $80. It is $40 because all these locations in the middle of nowhere are closed during darkness.
All gone when they bumped it to $100. I wonder do people take it at $50 but not $40, or they think it is going to be $100?

I don't do this project, but generally, when they bump the price they also extend the dates. So a lot of the shops get taken by people who would have taken the shops at the lower rate but could not get to them in the shorter window.
No, that was on deadline. You had to report by midnight 3/31 and they stated repeatedly that only if you could shop it that day you should take it. In the morning they sent the email for $80 per location and then in the afternoon, same locations were $100. But I think almost all closed by 7PM so the fee would be half.

I think most people did not know that the fee will be 50% off if the station was closed. It was not mentioned anywhere in the guidelines. I was unpleasantly surprised to see my pay cut in half.

I have one about an hour from me. It is an automotive shop. Even if the pumps were left on the store would be closed. This particular store used to have a canopy but it was damaged in a storm so they removed it and just have a light pole there. When it was Maritz, yes you could still get paid. I knew what the store was because I've done it many times. I tried to call but they had already closed and there was no way to verify if the pumps would be left on at night. I wrote the scheduler and asked about it. She confirmed if they were closed that they would dock the pay. My husband and I both said it's not worth the drive and you don't know how much you will make. Technically speaking, they are supposed to pay you your travel incentive (Bonus, PAD, ETC) and cut the base shop fee in half. (Let's say the shop fee base is 10, and the incentive is 40. They are supposed to pay you 45 instead of fifty). But IPSOS is getting away with ripping us off. I did a shop like that once that was a doctor's office. I made the appointment and everything drove up there and they refused my insurance. They paid me the incentive but not the shop fee and I didn't even have to write the report. I had made the phone call and the drive. I was happy. I still made money because the bonus was substantial.
IPSOS knows they are closed....or, to put it legally, they SHOULD know (at least by now!)...so what IPSOS is doing is FRAUD, pure and simple.
Yes it has happened to me. The location I shopped closes at 5:30. You will never be able to
do a dark audit during open hours.
