A pretty good imitation of a SeeLevel email

I got this, supposedly from SeeLevel. It's not, of course. It even has the unsubscribe tag line at the bottom, with the correct address. So be aware.

At least it's good to know there are scammers out there who are even more disreputable than SeeLevel is itself.

The $25 job was funny, too. I don't think SeeLevel goes that high.

The $25 posting was weird. Has SeeLevel been hacked?

Actually, Seelevel has jobs with a $25.00 base fee. I do not know anything about the rest of that situation.

I still think the email is a scam. The "from" email address is not correct for Seelevel schedulers:
yvonne.cheesman@seeleelhx.com

It should be seelevelhx.com.
Note the small difference.

I believe the scammer has attempted to use a real scheduler's name with a fake email address. Someone should let Seelevel and Yvonne know.

That IS a good catch. They got it correct in the unsubscribe link so you would think they would be consistent.

Nothing in the way of shops a normal person would do ever got near $25 in my area back when I was registered with them. Then again, it's the only MSC I ever de-registered from so maybe there's something on their boards now.

Actually I just checked and they have $30 shops that a normal person would do. They also have the expensive cars at $75.

Interesting.I'm on Long Island. Were these for New York City area, other urban area, suburban or rural? They never got close to those levels when I was registered.

Sorry but I'm salty on this company since they pulled a shifty one on me to deny me $3, a STINKING $3, on a phone shop. I was calling an ATV dealer in a small town in Maine, instructions said you have to talk to someone in "sales," the rep I spoke to said "yeah, I do sales," shop was done, SeeLevel found that the rep wasn't technically in the "sales" department (which I suspect consisted of one person, this wasn't Bangor or Augusta or Portland or even Saco, it was a bump in the road town), and denied me the money. The whole $3. Congratulations, SeeLevel on that $3 savings.

I did a much worse goof on a $5 Confero phone shop this week, to the point I wouldn't have held it against Confero if they invalidated the shop, and they gave me a 10/10 and are paying. So I'm happy to be done with SeeLevel.

Koko - I’m in Southern California and did a search for jobs within 999 miles.

I'm souring on seelevel too. for months I have been trying to receive payment for a December shop, $65. I emailed the scheduler, the payments department then called both the phone numbers on their home page. Never have spoken with a person and got a 10/10 on the report. I don't know what my next step is. Any suggestions?

My browser wouldn't let me continue because their security certificate couldn't be verified. This was the exact message, "This may be caused by a misconfiguration or an attacker intercepting your connection."
Given this email circulating I wonder if SeeLevel's been hacked? Anyone able to get on their site without a problem?

I just wanted to add that I was going to log on to SeeLevel just to see if there indeed was a job posted for $25. There weren't the usual links to the job board in the email.

I also have got a similar message when trying to access Seelevel. However I learned that if I use this link I don't get the warning message:

The only difference I can see is having www included. The link that doesn't seem to work is:
[seelevelshoppers.com]

Weird. Also using a different browser may give access to their site without the warning.

Something else strange I just noticed. Seelevel is not included in the list of Official Mystery Shop Companies at the bottom of this forum.

This link takes you to the page where the login screen is at the bottom of the page. I use Pale Moon browser and had no issues: [www.seelevelhx.com] I believe it is the same link as kenasch's above.

I searched 400 miles out and didn't see any $25 jobs. I saw 90% fast food, and the rest were some odd "identity" jobs paying $12.00. Nothing for $25.00 that I saw.

The email I got described the shop as a furniture inquiry shop. No links to any actual jobs listed on the board. I wonder if See Level knows about this.

I almost fell for one of those scams.. and it said SeeLevel or at least had SeeLevel Logos on the email. They would pay me $250 if I bought a $200 gift card during certain hours at a CVS store here in my tiny town. And I thought, it was kinda cool that there was something I could do that paid well here in town without it having to reveal myself. So I signed up, and I bought the card, but I did not give them the numbers off the card that they wanted, because the instructions said it was a customer service shop, so I sent a picture of the receipt, and both sides of the card with the numbers still covered. And then I spent the money on the card on a new mattress for my bed on Ebay, because I was NOT going to give them MY money to earn money (at this point I was still thinking it was a real job).

They got snotty with me, and then I saw the notices about the scams on SeeLevel's website. The next time they contacted me to try to get the numbers from me I told them I was going to call the police and I never heard from them again.

Their ATV shops pay $25 base pay if they are not bonused.

I've got $50 for an end of month bonus but it's rare.

The MS companies at one time could control which shoppers saw particular gigs. It was/is an advantage of maintaining a high score and a silver/gold qualification. There are also some that won't show up unless you have undergone extensive certification for that type of shop. So if you're not seeing the $25-$75 shops it could be because they are showing them to another shopper in your area instead of you.
