Blue Bank shops

Heads up on these:

I've been doing these shops for years since they were with Maritz and now with the new company. I received an email today about a shop I did yesterday reminding me that exterior time/date stamped photos showing open/close, status or hours, and the exterior are required. I don't check the guidelines each week, but do check periodically. I have to assume this is a very new requirement. There was no place in yesterday's report to add said photos anyway. Has anyone seen this prior to this week?

Just another nuisance to prove we were there, along with all the collateral to upload.

Could you name the new MSC since you didn't mention the bank by name? I used to do these for Maritz and would like to resume with the new company.

Thanks.
I am so over those banks. There is always some glitch. And now, there are rarely bankers for walk ins and the MSC makes up "half pay" rules that are not in the instructions we've agreed to. I've pretty much given up.
It's the huge MSC that gobbled up Maritz. J'espère que cela vous aide.

Thanks for the heads up. smiling smiley

Required proof of shop:

• Picture of the location locator showing the
status of the bank (open, closed, special
hours/services)
• Picture of the exterior of your assigned
location
• Picture of the business card
• Picture of all materials provided by banker
(detailed in Shop section)

I would use the Upload File(s) button on the bottom of the report to upload pictures.

I haven't shopped this bank for a while so I don't know how new these requirements are.

I was contacted by an independent scheduler, for whom I had worked in 2005. She had a blue bank, in a remote area, that I had visited the prior year. I offered to complete the shop for $30 the following week, but, due to distance, needed $40 for the next day. She stated the MSC would not pay that amount and we terminated the discussion. I am a profit oriented businessman who only considers my pocket, not those of an MSC literally rolling in cash.
I did one yesterday. My understanding from the instructions is that if the website states they are open to customers but, once you get to the bank, and they are closed, you will need the open/closed. Then, I understood that you only need a photo of the exterior if the bank is not open. There was no area for either of these pictures to be uploaded since I was able to complete the job. Now, I am wondering.

Shopping Arkansas, Louisiana, & Mississippi.
The scheduler got back to me and said to upload the photos at the bottom of the report. There's a generic upload link there and you can add more than one photo. I think they are going to have issues with these since it isn't clear and I only knew about it because I received an email from the editor. I've never added such photos before, but it is in the guidelines now so I will do it. I don't do as many of these as I used to. They are becoming too time intense when you have to wait for a banker, but I'll do them if I'm going in the area or if they are bonused.

If I recall correctly, the requirement to wait, and the option to report the failed shop as is OR make an appointment and try again were already in the guidelines before the pandemic.

Yes that was there, but not the NEW photo requirements. That is new, at least to me.

I just got approved on mine yesterday that I completed Friday, and they didn't say anything to me about the pictures.

Permettez-moi également d’ajouter que c’est également le même MSC qui a les stations-service bleues, jaunes et vertes.

Is there any sense if these extra photos are the result of one or two reengage editors wrongly taking a literal and uninformed interpretation of the guidelines or if this flowing down from a higher level?

I had not done them in a while because the fees weren't what I used to get, and they didn't allow you to make an appointment, so if you got there and no one could see you, you had to make a second trip, which meant that I was not going to do shops outside my area. Now that you can make an appointment, I've been more open to doing them again, especially since I found $30 and $35 shops recently.
I just snagged one for $60, and was glad to do so. I found it was simpler than previous implementations: no having to write extra stuff on the collateral before taking pictures.

That being said, I would not do them for base pay.
