Presto

Who has worked with this platform? I have never used it. I am seeing some work I'm interested in. You have to use Presto. Does it always allow your phone to be tracked? Is it easy to use?

Some people love it. Mostly the MSCs that use it I think. I have never NOT had a problem. You need to keep your location on when at the shop and sometimes it gets the location wrong. It is extremely sensitive about reception. You have to have full bars or it will tell you that you have no connection at all. If you are lucky enough to get as far as filling out the report you will then have to wait many times during input while it uploads or updates. Good luck.
If you're talking about the ones with blue pins on the Presto map, I gave up on them. They could never figure out how to pay me, although I managed to learn the app well enough to complete a shop on it!

As for the other jobs, not "insta" shops, I do the work through the MSCs and report on their websites. Never had a problem, plus it's excellent for finding companies that offer jobs in the areas I travel to.
I've used Presto frequently this month and have no problem with it. It is a bit quirky and you need to get used to how the entry works. I check in on app and take the location photo. Then, close the app to do the rest until I'm just about ready to submit it and take any other needed photos. The pay is quick..usually within a week or sooner. BTW, I take the photos on my phone, and transfer them from the gallery so I have them if something goes awry with the app.

I do not know what problems they might have.I did blue pins both for presto the first yrs in started, as well for ipsos and always got paid. Ipsos does a $0 dummy shop in the sassie website.
Also I would like to add that I did an ID check blue pin. Submitted everything in the parking lot and then a couple days later received a cancellation of shop notice that said I had not provided follow up details. I guess I input something wrong? So I emailed the scheduler back with no response. Later I found the email in my spam folder. Honestly i had a a lot of other work those other days so I took the hit. This was Confero and I usually have communication success with them if I go through the Sassie platform but these shops can not be found directly on that.
When it was time to pay me, they said my e-mail was wrong in their system.

So I followed their directions to "fix" it.

Then they said since I had two accounts, something something something. So I never got paid.

I freely admit to being a tech dinosaur. I had PrestoInstaMaps on my PC for years before getting and using a cell phone. I probably did open a second account on my cell phone, unknowingly.

Interestingly, I keep getting e-mails asking me to help out on the insta-shops (blue pins). I just reply I'm not interested in doing any work for which I will not receive pay.

You can read the reviews in the app store. Recently, Most are negative and give specific reasons why. Most of the few positive reviews just give canned statements such as, "Great app!!" But no reasons why they think so, which is sus.
when Presto introduced such platform they said that it will mirror the sassie. It is still considered as mobile app for sassie

I used Presto today, and it worked flawlessly, where in the past I have had to give up and do it on the website instead since Presto kept stalling/freezing. Maybe they've made improvements.
I did Presto (mainly Insta shops) back in 2015. Today I picked and did one more. The app was not loaded properly and I needed to restart my smart phone few times. But eventually app worked and my shop was accepted.

I find the Instashops to be super easy. The only concerns I have had is that the photos sometimes do no upload clearly and have to re-sent.

Have you signed up with Ipsos on the Sassie platform (formerly GFK)? Presto is owned and run by Ipsos, partially as a clearing house for Sassie platform jobs from all companies, and for their "Instashops" which are Ipsos shops, but they are processed through their Sassie platform. So if you're not registered with Ipsos on their Sassie platform they will never be able to pay you.
Yes, M, I've shopped for IPSOS for years.

Presto said I had two accounts. And that's against the rules.

So I just don't do their shops any more. I do still use the map itself to find MSCs with offerings in my area.

Kinda feel bad about it, as there are many of them and the pay seems fair. Good filler, fast pay -- unless you NEVER get paid, which is what happened to me.
