Coyle Medical Care Shops

I've done multiple locations for Coyle at their medical clinic client. I've always made appointments so I would not be stuck waiting for hours.

I stupidly took one yesterday that said I could not make an appointment as they wanted to evaluate the walk in experience. I built a route around this highly bonused shop. I tried calling the location the day before multiple times to gauge just how busy they were. They never answered the phone. I did however get the phone tree asking me what I wanted to do. I requested repeatedly to talk to the location I was going to visit and they never answered.

I went online to see if I could book an appointment at 1:30 AM and couldn't. This should have been my first red flag.

When I arrived at 2:30, the receptionist said they were not taking any more walk ins and that I should show up at 7AM and wait in line or go online at midnight and make an appointment.

When I e-mailed the scheduler while I was at the location, they told me to go online immediately and make and appointment. Again, none were available.

I was awarded another bonused location but I won't do it if I have to drive 3 hours to do it if this one I drove 2 hours to isn't approved.

Coyle takes forever to approve their shops so I guess I'm stuck and just want to warn others.

Once I arrived and were told the place was not taking any more walk-in patients, I would have asked a few questions, followed the reasonable part of their instructions (go online and make an appointment which I would try to do onsite; the midnight part is unreasonable), made note of the surrounding and environment, observed whether something was going on that made for this chaos, and made a detailed report documenting all. You will have had the true patient experience.

Going back for seconds would involve a second fee.
Well they awarded me $100 for the shop instead of the $175, but I only spent 10 minutes in the clinic. Took me two hours each way driving, but made a well paying route out of it even with the reduced payment for this.

I still had to N/A each answer and then stupidly paste, I could not complete the shop. I could not complete the shops., like that twice, because of the minimum number of characters some of the answers needed.

Was going to do the second one tomorrow, because I could make an appointment. It's only 3 hours round trip. Now there's a winter storm advisory with lake effect snow until 1 AM Tuesday. The city is on Lake Ontario and they're predicting 2 feet of snow and white out conditions.

. I'll have to see if they'll reschedule for Wednesday.

Oh, I had the true patient experience and they said they wanted to see how they handled walk ins so I think I should get the full fee I negotiated.

I tried calling them four or five times, they never answered the phone. I talked with the receptionist, and asked where I could get tested nearby. I asked how I could be seen there and she said make an appointment after midnight.

I contacted the scheduler while onsite. I tried to make an appointment like Coyle requested, while on sight. I took pictures of the clinic on the outside, I didn't think the receptionist would appreciate me taking pictures inside since they aren't required for the shop.

I don't know what else I could have done.

Edited to add:

I wouldn't go back because I used up all the shops I could use for a route and I don't believe they'd pay me the $200 I would require and I'm not sure would be enough for 4 hours of driving, an hour in the clinic and an hour on the report.

I agree.
And based on all the work you did, you've more than earned it.
