KSS just cancelled my shop after I went to the location twice!

I just did a real estate company evaluation for KSS which was originally scheduled for Tuesday. However I went to the location and the company was only seeing customers by appointment. I emailed two different schedulers at KSS and one told me to go ahead and make an appointment. It was annoying that I would have to go there a second time but this shop supposedly pays pretty well. So I called and left a message to make an appointment. I emailed the scheduler the next day to tell him that I had not heard back yet and should I call again. He told me to call again if I don't hear back in two days and he will extend the due date to Saturday for the shop. I called again the next day, yesterday, and did get a call back and set up the appointment for noon today, Friday. I visited the real estate agent and when I got home I saw that the shop had been canceled from my account! I emailed the two schedulers but as of this moment I have not heard back yet. I think the situation is very unfair and I will be reluctant to work for KSS again. I suppose I could have told the scheduler as soon as I had an appointment set up but he had already told me that he was extending the due date to Saturday. Any advice?

Give them the benefit of the doubt that it was a slip up and a chance to make it right. I know i would barely be able to contain my anger but you will have to, to get a satisfactory result. Personally i wouldn't talk to them, just us email since you can write and then reread before you send.
Yes; email the scheduler who said he was extending the date and explain the situation. If there's more than one scheduler for the shop project, it may be that the other one removed the shop from your log.

I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.
@ebjny, perhaps you should contact @Lorri Kern KSS. She said in another thread to contact her if her schedulers don't respond.

Evaluations are not prepared for Kern - it is just a scheduling firm - but for MSCs.

Yes, but sometimes it can be confusing for a new shopper. It confused me when I first started out because when you get an email from KSS, it's not clear they're the scheduling company and not the MSC. Anyway, the problem seems to be with KSS at this point.

Also, sometimes when you are to call and make an appointment, you must "log" the call in the report to keep the job open.

I don't think that's the case here, as you didn't find out you needed an appointment until you got there the first time.

But just something to be aware of.

I once traveled 100 miles for a shop; the guidelines said not to call for an appointment. Got there, and the only way to get in was by appointment, and the next available appointment was past the deadline for the project.

The very nice MSC paid me in full, anyway, after I explained.

Hi!

The client contacted us and told us that the NYC location was closed due to COVID and that no shops could be completed because of lack of staff.

If you WERE actually able to complete the shop, we will 100% re=instate it and reassign it to you and make sure you are paid! The shops were only canceled because the end client (the real estate firm) asked us to cancel them because of staff shortages.

Happy to work with you directly on this. Just email me at KSSLorri@kernscheduling.com

We definitely want you paid for work you have completed in good faith!

I mean, I don't know who you are, but can you at least spell my name right if you are trashing me?

It's Lorri Kern
