IPSOS Sassie 3/15/22 Payments Delayed Until 3/18/22?

I can't believe how calm people are from not being paid. It's like Stockholm Syndrome!! It's like you enjoy working for free?? It just makes it hard for people who value themselves. It's really Scary how desperate we've become? Sad

I agree. I wish that I could like this 100 times, Delovely!

And I’m absolutely certain that the office staff, managers, and C-suite level IPSOS employees were paid on time. It’s quite revealing that they paid their schedulers before the ICs. Schedulers sit behind a computer, don’t drive to work, and don’t have any outlay, yet they are paid before evaluators who go out in the field and float money to IPSOS.

We’re at the very bottom of their pay schedule and also at the bottom of their organizational chart. Yet there are Stockholm Syndrome’d people here who are A-OK with it. It’s sad, and they are part of the problem.
All this focus on who gets what and "integrity" and "character" are really not all that relevant to the current discussion of payment speed and timeliness.

The fact is, Ipos pays roughly one to two weeks after the shop, maybe longer during crunch times when editing takes longer, maybe shorter during the holidays when payments are twice a week. Other major MSCs take longer, usually much longer. Even with a delay of two days every year or so, they still beat the competition. If cash flow is an issue, as it is for me as well, a delay of two days still beats the alternatives. Could they have done better? Sure. As business people should we be prepared for something like this? Sure, in theory.

I was very calm in not being paid, and kept doing jobs for them in those two days. Was it possible I would not get paid at all? Yes, absolutely, but in this business we all live with the very real possibility every day that something beyond our control will cause us to go out of business. To get worked up over a one or two day payment delay is perfectly okay and keeps the MSCs on notice, but don't assume those who don't get worked up are captive or desparate any more than those who complain and stay in their cages.

But we were paid, and nobody worked for free.
I received payment for W/E 3/11 on 3/19 and just got payment for W/E 3/18 - a day early. Is the panic over or will the sky still fall?

Yep...I was/am amazed at the negativity and abject PANIC (yes, PANIC) that some folks directed at IPSOS. As has been stated by a few...M Shopping is not for everyone as flexibility and the ability to deal with kerfuffle's, both big and small, without resorting to "going-off-the-rails" makes for a good/reliable shopper.
I got mine early as well most of us know that late payments are not the norm with them. It never helps getting upset about something they they are working to get resolved. Thanks for positive energy

I completed a shop through Sassie on 3/19. On 5/1 their website said it was paid, however, I never received payment. I've contacted the scheduler multiple times and have not received any response. Anyone else run into this?
Katie states--.....as bad as IPSOS-USA is, it’s a step up from Maritz.

Bob disagrees-My reasons are that, for my situations, Maritz was willing, when needed, to open their purse. In addition, they were easily accessible. I do realize that I may have experienced results peculiar to my shop selection.
When I rate an MSC, I consider all aspects that matter to me. As an example, J.C. & ASSOCIATES closed the door at least least, a dozen yrs. ago. They paid in approx. 60 days after the report was submitted. Their positives, though, were a seven day window to visit, no guest requirement, shop any hrs., no ordering requirements, easy reports and a flat fee that brought the actual earned cash to roughly $20, based upon a total of $42; quite a large bit of money for a dining assignment of that era. As the old adage goes, "What ever floats one's boat." J.C. worked for me, but not the folks that wanted a quick pay.
With the exception of the one time they had a payment issue I’m always paid pretty quickly with them

I am waiting for the next exciting opportunity!
