Has anyone done MarketForce Gas Station shops?

I noticed new gas station shops on MF, but could not access the guidelines/questionnaire.

I sent the MF Help Desk an email asking to see the guidelines/questionnaire to ensure I can meet their expectations.

They replied that they don't share proprietary guidelines until after they are scheduled. So you have to schedule one before you know whether it is a crappy shop not.

Has anyone done one of these?

They use to have mystery shops and announced audits on a rotation basis, but recently all the ones in my area are announced audits only. There are 7 pictures. Two key difference from other gas shops is (1) just 1 picture of a pump and bezel (vs. every pump) and (2) of the $10 reimbursement you can spend as much of that on gas and store purchase as you like (but do need to purchase min gas requirement). They are relatively quick and the report is easy. The current fee is very low. I'd way a bit for them to be bonused.
I do them, Never for base pay. They are relatively simple and and the reimbursement is good. You can get a decent amount of gas, If you're careful how much you spend inside the store. Only problem here is that those stations are few and far between, so it's tough to make a route. And someone around here doesn't value their time as much as they should and they start disappearing about $10 too soon...

I do the Red/White client since the pandemic (I’m focusing a lot more on outdoor, fresh-air shops.) They take 15 minutes on-site and another 20 minutes to fill the report. I have done up to 15 locations in a single day, depending on driving distance and daylight hours (as a solo female, gas stations can be rough. I am careful about my surroundings.)

I have a good score with MF, and get called by the offshore telephone schedulers almost daily. They are frequently bonused and I’ve received up to $50 a location for the work.

I like the larger reimbursement for the c-store purchase. I buy dry and canned goods on these purchases and donate them to food pantries. Putting some positivity out in the world makes them easier to complete.
I did one for them and my guidelines stated to take pictures of any infractions or out-of-service pumps, dispensers, etc. Then it said photos of ALL pumps were required. There were 12 at this station. The C-store part was easy but waiting for customers to not be in the way to take the photos was time wasted for me. Also, the survey never asked for the infractions in the report, so I took photos for nothing. The photos of dirty window washing water was one I was hoping to show them, but alas no such luck. It paid $35 which was not worth it as I was almost an hour at the station, then had to fill in the survey. Your mileage may differ.

I have all the above, and my husband (a safety officer on mining projects) is trying to get me to wear a white hard hat for visibility on those dark lots. We’ll see…

Most of the other gas station shops that I do require me to use a traffic vest while I'm doing the audit portion of the shop.. And I don't see any good reason why I shouldn't do that with the market force gas station shops too. It's for my own safety not because I like wearing a traffic vest.
Thanks for all the input. I signed up for one. I am little concerned about the level of detail in 27 pages of guidelines. We'll see how it goes. Do others complete the questionnaire on a paper and clipboard, or input directly to the website via smartphone?

Market force has a very convenient convenient, and usually pretty simple to use, mobile app that makes doing the gas station shops a lot easier. I use a tablet because I have trouble seeing the pictures on my phone, But it's easy enough to do on your phone if you have good eyesight.
The only problem with the app is you have to put the in and out times in right away. I have one I'm doing today and I think I will have to do it on the paper then input it later.

I Put 45 minutes in the clock for those shops. It mostly takes less than that, But 45 minutes is a good number.
Once you've done a few, you can pretty much go on autopilot with these. It had been 3 years since my last audit, and when I started again, I was done on-site in 25 minutes my first time back, and generally in about 20 minutes after that. I tend to do NJ locations without convenience stores, but those don't add a ton of time. Of course, YMMV.
I did my first one today. On site was quick. Uploading all the pictures took time. I ended up doing the pictures at home. They want 2 shots of everything.
