Strategic Reflections sending incorrect 1099 for 2021

Anyone receive a 2021 form 1099-NEC from Strategic Reflections claiming that you did work for them in 2021, but you did not.
If so what did you do about it?

Try contacting them to get it corrected. I believe Reality Based Group took over SR last November. You may want to contact RBG if you can't reach SR. Otherwise don't worry about it much because you need to report to IRS from your records.

By the way, a 1099-NEC is a form used to report interest income paid.

??? 1099-NEC is for nonemployee compensation.

Certainly all I have ever seen from shopping is 1099-MISC

Form 1099 NEC replaced the use of form 1099 MISC for reporting the payment to independent contractors employed in the 2020 tax year. So this is the 2nd year that this form would be used rather than 1099-MISC.

Thank you for the re-education! With covid I just haven't shopped enough fee shops for any MSCs to need to send me any sort of 1099!
