Actually, we do 'work for' the MSC in the sense that they are our clients. We are a business owner & the MSC is our client. They hire us to complete a job. So yes, Monnie was correct that she should contact the BBB to report an issue with a business (shopper). Does a shopper care? Will a MSC actually take the time to do that? Probably not on both questions.

You do not work for them unless this is a company that has hired you under a W-2 agreement. You contract on a per job basis for them (per an IC agreement between you and the company) which is a stipulation that we all agree to before taking a job. If you were told that you "work for them", then you should be receiving benefits and having taxes deducted from your pay. You also should be receiving minimum wage, at the least. If you have something in writing stating "You work for us", ensure that you keep it in case you need to take legal action to receive your pay. I have only been an employee of one shopping company (now defunct) and have been involved with this industry since 2003. It seems that schedulers and MSC's are "forgetting" the fact that they work with contractors versus employees. I actually received an email from a scheduler this morning that stated, "You do not live far enough from XXX so we cannot pay you that amount". I thanked her and told her to have a great day. I will probably never email her again because she crossed a boundary. A scheduler has no business inquiring as to how far you live from a location in order to receive a bonus because their job is simply to get a job scheduled. A simple "Yes" or "No" is all that you should receive from a scheduler. Likewise, this company (whoever it is) has no business treating you like an employee (unless you are an employee). You rendered services and you should be paid for those services if they were performed according to the instructions you were given. If you have been dealing with this issue since last year, I would suggest having an attorney write a letter to the company. If you do not have the funds to hire a traditional attorney, many online firms offer services at a set rate (i.e., $39.99 per month). I hope this helps. If your shops were approved, you should receive payment and it sounds like the company has violated the IC agreement that you signed. I am only hearing your side of the story, however, so make sure that all your I's are dotted and your T's are crossed (save a copy of your IC agreement and screenshots or emails that show the shop approvals in case your account is deactivated due to this dispute). Best wishes.

Between myself and two brothers-in-law, we have done over 50 apartment shops never had a problem until now. They owe me for July 2021 for $100 and September 2021 pay for $1510 this is March 2022. I have been in touch with Monnie Howard, Valeria Valencia, and Debbie Depew. They have yet told me why they have not paid me. They informed me that when they have made a decision on whatever they're making a decision on they will notify me. My brother-in-law is in a wheelchair now so he makes the calls to the apartments set up the appointment and
I do the leg work then we split the money. It is a win-win for both of us. It took me 6 e-mails to Debbie Depew just to get her to send the request to Valeria Valencia I think. Then Valeria is the one who told me there was a problem with my profile. (?) Then I told them I was going to BBB, Monnie Howard told me that they should take me to the BBB that I work for them not them working for me. Now that I have bored everybody my question is who above Monnie Howard can I contact? Anybody got a number or e-mail for them or any other Ideas.[/q[/quote]
