Those of you who have done assignments for SS lately, when have you been paid? I did an assignment in late March, still waiting on payment even though their website says the 25th of the month. I know they pay by check, but this is the second time I have had to start sending emails. The scheduler has not responded to two emails and I just sent an email to the owner today. I like the client they give me to shop, but this is really getting ridiculous. Like it's 2022 enough with the checks already!

SS has always been good about timely payments. They are reliable. The USPS, not so much.

I likewise did a shop for them in March that I haven't been paid for. I have yet to contact anyone but will if it doesn't arrive next week. Please let me know if your payment shows up or if you hear anything. This was my first shop for them in over two years. I don't recall any payment issues in the past.
Is it customary that shoppers are to accept an assignment before you are given any clue what the requirements are? I don't want this to turn into a narrative heavy assignment like a Coyle or an impossible requirement to get the name of everyone you come in contact with. I don't want to accept an assignment only to cancel when I get the paperwork. TIA
Phone call to the office this morning. No answer of course. Second round of emails going out today as well.
I think i did shops for them a long, long time ago, but haven't done anything with them recently. I think the office I dealt with at the time was based out of Florida. I do not even know what/if any shops they have in California still.
While I wanted more information before throwing my hat in the ring, I completed a restaurant shop this weekend. The requirements and reporting were customery for a restaurant, and the scheduler was responsive to questions I had before visiting even on a weekend. The office is located in Houston, per the emails I received.

So, yes, I was actually satisfied!
From what I remember, they had several offices. I was doing shops for the office out of Florida. I guess I could always look back into starting with them again, but I don't know if I am really missing anything. Doesn't hurt to check I guess.
That's right, hbbigdaddy. The different offices issue their own checks. My as of yet unpaid March shop was done for the Florida office.
I received my payment yesterday (5/16). I finally received an email from Mickie about how the weather has affected their operations. What a farce! They always seem to have an excuse as to why they are late with payment. Here's an idea....get out of the 20th Century with the check nonsense and switch to digital payments! Heck even Maritz did it. If they figured it out, anyone can!
