C'mon, Market Force!

When you have "changed fee" listed for almost every fast food or fast casual job, yet the fees are the same they've been for months, it kind of lessens my interest in clicking on anything. Now I won't even click on those listings unless they have the $ sign / MAO.

You are very wise! Look for the $ combined with the flames and you can scoop up a little bit more change smiling smiley

They really don't seem to care how high gas prices are. It makes it very difficult for the shopper, who has to schedule many shops in one day just to make a little profit. NO ONE is going to do a shop for $4.50 or $8.00. Profit would end up in the negative. Also, I could have done many fast-food shops from 6/1-6/5, but they keep moving the date so that I can't schedule them now for the pay I need to do the shop. Bad business.
I think it is bad that they don’t show you upfront what the pay is. You have to click on the shop to find out the pay is five dollars.
Do you have the app? The website does allow more options as far as searching and being able to make an offer more than once (i.e., if your initial offer was declined). The app lists the fees and reimbursement amounts below the location address. You can see the amount offered before you click on the shop to accept or make an offer.

They don't.

It does.

I could have also - unfortunately, that's life right now.

People are scared - prices are sky high for everything from gas all the way down to eggs. Shoppers are grabbing what they can as quick as they can. MSC's are taking advantage of shoppers during this opportune time and they are doing a very good job at making more money for themselves (big companies do not lose). It is a sad world when someone thinks they have made a few bucks but at the end of the day, they have actually spent money. Driving (wear and tear, gas, time, mental strain), purchases that will eventually be reimbursed but are costing interest on a credit card for a month, time spent entering audits once home - the list goes on. Hang in there. A brighter day will come soon smiling smiley
So what are shoppers to do?

I have an idea.

Stay tuned for a new post from me in a few days...
I also won't do their shops for anywhere near the regular price, but there ARE some people who do. Yes, it's foolish.
I clicked on one of their Fast Food jobs to find that the pay was $0.00 and reimbursement was $9.00. I figured, surely this has to be a typo.

Then I quickly surmised, "No, Shirley, it is not a typo. Zero point zero is correct. They don't want to pay you and they have no problem stating so."
I will admit to take $0.00 pay, but NOT for this shop. There is a Mexican restaurant very small chain in Southern California. They reimburse $50 and there is no pay. However, it is yes/no and no commentary. So I can feed a family at a place they like and not spend any money. I even can not go over reimbursement.

For something like that, while I would like to be paid (even if only $5), I'm treating the 4 of us to something we like and not costing me anything other than a few minutes (less than 10) on report. So for that, i will do it.

But for the burger place where only 1 person benefits and reimbursement is not enough to cover the meal and report takes longer, I won't do it for less than $25 pay
