Curinos Gift Card Scam Going Around

Good Morning,

I am not sure if this will do much good seeing as we have only had 1 report of it and it was not an actual shopper in our database that was targeted. Someone posing as a Curinos employee is asking people to buy gift cards and of course scratch of the back and send them images of codes. I will also try to get this message posted on the Curinos homepage. No legitimate shopping company will ever ask you to purchase gift cards and take images of the codes that must be scratched off. I know all the shoppers on this forum know better but I am hoping someone new looking for info to see if this a scam will find this. Just to let everyone know we don't think this person was signed up with any legitimate shopping programs and was not in our Sassie or, our old Prophet database. I do hope no one else falls victim to these terrible scammers!

Safe and Happy Shopping to All!

I got one today from a best mark impersonator. I sent it over to Best Mark but it was one of the better fraud schemes I've seen.
There were some BestMark threads that had quite a bit of activity in the past couple of months. I'm guessing those people furious would think of BestMark being a scammer themselves.

I haven't seen any quality shops in Southern California in so long for Bestmark, I don't even bother to open their emails anymore.

I haven't done any shops for them in a long time either. This was a text that I got that mine phone caught in the spam filter, but I opened the text to see what it was and sure enough it was definitely a scam. I figured I'd send it over to Best Mark because it looked pretty convincing if you didn't know any better.
