Yes, my payment history also said the 31st but it posted the 24th.

That would be true only if the initial date being shown differed from their company policy. Also, I believe that there are posts in this thread from people who waited longer than two months to be paid.
From their website:

When can I expect payment for my shops?
Payments are processed on the 15th day of each month, and on the last day of each month (or the closest business day if the 15th day or last day falls on a weekend). Shops completed by the 5th of each month will be processed on the 15th, and shops that are completed between the 6th and the 20th of the month will be processed on the last day of the month. Depending upon your payment method, funds are generally available within 24 hours of payment processing.

So basically it seems like we should be paid the same month that the shop is performed.

They did finally pay for June/July for grocery shops for the HUGE online retailer. I don't know if emailing the new CEO helped or not. I also told Cory that I wouldn't take more jobs due to the payment issues (cc to CEO) , and they deactivated me! But reactivated after I wrote back that I still wanted to track my payments. I used to do a lot of BIG jobs for Bestmark, back in the day. A shame that they were done in by the pandemic (I assume).

PS as to why I would take a job from them, well I was going on past experiences. It had been a long time since any of their jobs were worth it for me, since they are mostly reimbursement only now. But the new client was somewhere that I was already shopping. And I didn't know about recent issues because I have not been participating in any of the MS shopper websites (last one was Volition!)

Ditto. I had never had problems with them before and had no reason to believe that it would be different this time, plus there was a decent bonus. I missed out on the August shop since I was away until yesterday, but will try to get one for September if/when it gets bonused. Hopefully I will be paid for the shop I did in late July by then.
I am so sorry this is happening to you. I stopped doing anything for Bestmark after they stopped paying on time. It was a struggle to get reimbursement and they didn't even have the decency to reach out to me about delayed payments. Prior to the fall of 2020, they were always very prompt with payments. I read somewhere that the company had experienced some financial problems and lost clients. None of this should be the shopper's concern- you did a job and they were able to submit a report to their client, so they owe you money. I would reach out to the corporate office and speak with someone about when they expect to be able to pay you and reimburse your expenses. Also tell them to reimburse your credit card interest on these purchases, if you incurred any due to the payment delay. You could also report them to the MSPA. Your contract with the mystery shopping companies stipulates what your options are if there is a dispute. If they still fail to pay you after you reach out to them, you may have to initiate legal action. I hope this helps.

Good luck. MPSA is a trade organization of, by, and for MSCs. Each of them pays dues to belong. That is their bread and butter. Shoppers pay no dues, have no representation, etc.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that I got paid for my late July shop yesterday. So I am all caught up.
I actually took another job today! I enjoyed being inside the store since it's air conditioned . BTW if you live near one of these they have a coupon for $5 off $10 of frozen treats/ice cream, good thru 9/13. In store only and I was told it may not work unless you go through the register line.
I just got an email from the scheduler for their grocery store delivery shop. I responded that I will take it when he can give me the $20 bonus I've received previously (and which he always offers at the end of the month).
Does Bestmark shop grocery stores in your area? I haven't seen these, but would be willing to go back to doing take Bestmark jobs for groceries!

Hey, would you happen to have a list of companies that you'd be willing to share and maybe a blurb about whether you'd recommend one or another? I never knew there were that many mystery shopping companies, but I'd sure like to some new ones to my list to increase my job total as I'm definitely not getting enough of them.

Can confirm: BestMark continues to subject shoppers to delayed payments. I was due $230 from a shop completed at the end of July. Same story as other, estimated payment date kept getting pushed back. Email support, while they usually replied unless I was snarky, did not provide any help.

I shopped with BM years ago, and believed them reputable. After weeks of non-payment and multiple emails to support, I found this thread. I emailed the CEO as outlined above. I received the payment in 15 minutes. Note: I’m set up for PayPal payments.

While I appreciate Jeff’s follow up, I certainly cannot recommend BestMark.
I am still waiting on payment from JUNE. Every month it passes unceremoniously and replaces the payment date with another 30 days in the future. Sheesh. I know their contract says we will be paid when they are paid, but nobody is this slow. 150 days after a shop is complete? That's the kind of stuff that hurts shoppers, clients, and your own business.
Message me with your list and location and I will give you a list of new companies with a BLUF about them.

That's odd. I was paid, and I believe others here were as well. Have you emailed shopperpaymentinquiry@bestmark.com to ask where the payment is?

BTW, 150 days is five months and it's currently three months. Not justifying it, but accuracy is important.

oh man, I have July shops that are not paid yet and the estimated payment date just keeps on getting pushed back. Really wish I have looked at this thread before doing shops with Bestmark. Emailed them for the $900 reimbursement that's still pending and hopefully they will pay soon.
