Presto insta-shops disappearing too quickly

Is someone using a script or other automated system to claim all the shops faster than could be done with th app?

Maybe. Many projects have a limit as to how many you can have claimed (This number ranges from 1 to 20 for projects I’ve seen). If that limit is 3, then after you claim 3, all the others will disappear at once. Once you’ve done and submitted one, then if any are left, they’ll all reappear.
Also, the MSC often removes all of them at once if they have a percentage or number they need to reach, and don’t want to go over. Then once some people inevitably flake, they put them all back again and so on.

The also disappear because MS companies prepay presto. When presto does not have enough prepaid funds for another shopper to accept and complete a shop, those pins disappear until they get more funds from the MS company.

@Notme2021 That makes sense because those Orange apron shops we were talking about reappeared for a minute earlier today and after I scooped up one, the rest disappeared. I thought they had pulled those Door
Surveys because the Orange Apron switched to self assigned french door shopping experiences instead. I was too undecisive on those and someone else picked them up.

@wilson5k1992 Thanks

I don't understand why remote Circle gas stations that go unfilled for a round re-set to $5. There is one that hasn't been done for at least 3 rounds in a row and got to either $20 or $25 before resetting.
The circles that start at $5 re drop every month near the end of the month. Whatever is still left at drop off time, they fall off and drops again as the $5. They are fast and easy. I personally wait till they are at least $10 or more near me to complete, because if I wait any longer, others will pick them up in my area. But there are only 6 in my small city, takes me an hour and half to go around to all 6.

On Presto, the Orange pins are shops that are actually for the mystery shopping companies on the mystery shopping company's sassie websites.. The blue and the purple pins are the ones that are on Presto that have to be done on the Presto app and are paid "in 3 -5 days" by Presto. To get or apply for any of the Orange pins shops you have to be signed up with the mystery shopping companies that are actually doing the shops.
This morning the blue pins appeared on a friend's app for the Orange Apron Home Improvement place for locations that have not been done, but they didn't show up on my app. I've done two of those jobs and both were accepted and he has done zero. Why does that happen?

I feel better about doing this specific assignment because somehow I was able to spend 33% less time in the store on the second hit with roughly the same number of doors.
@sestrahelena Maybe there's a limit of 2 per shopper?

It's possible. I did not think about that being an option.

I've seen daily limits placed, but not over a span of multiple days. Two seems like a low limit, but each client can have their own criteria.
@sestrahelena Thanks, I did not think of this as a possibility. Two per person does seem like a low limit though for the project. I have seen a higher limit on a daily basis. Those Home Depots popped up again when I was logged out and vanished when I logged in, so you might be on to something.

There is no way someone scooped them all up that quickly. I suspect that once one in the area was taken, they all went away. Odd that they don't want them all done right away.

Have you guys noticed a lack of blue pins in Presto lately? Last month there seemed to be a lot of them that popped up on the map on a consistent basis for various companies - not just the Circle gas. Now I only see a couple that have been on the board for a while. There was finally a new one yesterday for a grocery store to check for 50! private label brands for a whopping $10.

I suspect the person gave up since it is back today.
Yesterday the blue pins popped up again for the orange apron door count, but once I clicked it, the other jobs in the area for that store disappeared. The other odd part was that all the Shape Letter shops also disappeared at that point. I was hoping they would stick around for a couple of more days so they would get bumped to $10.

Later in the day, one blue pin Shape Letter that is on my way to the post office re-appeared. Figuring the shopper ran out of time, I scooped it up. Around midnight the rest of the Shape Letters re-appeared as blue pins.

It seems like some odd quirk with the system. Me selecting a home improvement store should not have any bearing on gas stations.

I think I may have spooked the other shopper in the area because this morning he picked up most of the Shape Letter shops.
Twice I have had the same weird experience in the wee pre-dawn hours. As I am self assigning convenience stores, they all disappear and so do all the ones I've already assigned! Nothing on my log at all. About 20 minutes later, everything comes back including the scheduled ones. I'm guessing daily site maintenance or updates?

I've had something like this happen too, seems pretty random. Just the other day, I assigned myself 5 circle gas shops in the morning, about an hour later 3 of them disappeared off my incomplete list and went back on the map. I reassigned them to my self, all good to go.

@sestrahelena "Classic Presto" indeed.

I was holding out for the Shape Letter shops to get to $10 which I thought would've happened by today. The last couple of days, they disappeared early am except for two, and then all reappeared late at night. Only one stayed off the map, for a store that I considered to be in a less than safe area. I caved with Presto's quirks and picked the rest up.
One of the reasons they disappear is because the due date/expiration date, on the shop was originally entered wrong. When you assign yourself one of those, it usually had an expiration date to perform the shop, in about 5 minutes. Then it pops back on the map. I am not talking about the time limit of a couple of minutes to "claim" the shop, but the actual expiration to get it done. I have had to reclaim sometimes twice and the third time the expiration to perform the shop registers correctly. I reported it as a glitch and they sent it to tech support, but it is still happening. Someone coded the parameters incorrectly.

And regarding the reason why regular monthly shops disappear as soon as they are released is because certain schedulers tell shoppers to email their request of the shops they want the next month during the last few days of the current month. The requester can also ask for them to be scheduled as a route, which allows taking up to 14 shops, even if the route is in their own backyard, so to speak. It is just a way for the scheduler to get a ton of shops assigned easily, although the whole process is not really fair to other good shoppers.
Today I noticed that field agent has computer mystery shops for the second time in the last month paying a whopping $5! This is almost a 70% drop from what the traditional MSC pay or at least what I have seen for the same company on Presto. When it rains, it pours.

Today they advertise it as taking 20 minutes. I don't think their app is set up to ask a bunch of questions like you see on Presto.

Even with a simpler questionaire, I was thinking who is going to get in their car and drive to a store for $5, but I've seen people pick up store price check assignments for $2.50 on that app.
