Calling all elite, established and privileged shoppers! What the heck?

These emails from Secret Shopper make my brain want to explode. I have no idea what this company was thinking by creating shopper distinctions with these labels. It sounds like distinctions at a country club not a mystery shopping company.

Apologies for the random rant but another one of these emails has almost pushed me over the edge. This use of terms just seems so tone deaf.

And then, after the flattery, they attempt to entice you with an assignment that will take hours to complete and pays $4.00.

How many legs does a dog have if you call the tail a leg?

Their platform stinks and I refuse to do any shops for them. Nothing that grabs my attention anyway.
It was really annoying they put an expiration on your status...especially when they dont consistently offer enough shops in all locations...basically they hedged people maintaining status over availabilty of shops
Its all reflective of a MSC belief (along with one platform's belief) that shoppers are not professionals and are motivated by games and flattery rather than by money. True praise is welcome, but that must be personalized and rare, not badges and labels.
This company actually has a shop in my area that I want to do, but all the dates are blocked. Womp womp.
I kid you not, they have a phone shop right now that is paying $2.80 and someone took it!!

Not even worth looking for a dime to make the call with let alone dropping it in the coin slot.

They sent me a hardware store visit shop with a $2.80 flat rate listed. I couldn't believe it so I went to their website and it was $15.

I think the $2.80 might be a glitch in their system. Or not, for phone shops.

The in store visit is $15. This is a phone call to the same "helpful" place for $2.80. Unbelievable!

If I read an email and get to the bottom and see $5 or less I'm incensed.

Thank goodness I've learned to scan. I also get nuts when the job seems awesome and then I discover it's only in Texas where I don't happen to live.
In their eyes, i am just a plain ole BASIC shopper. I don't see how that is my fault since they have very few jobs in my area.

Umm, have you ever attended an IMSC or MSPA conference? It’s unbelievable, what some shoppers think is “professional attire and grooming.”

I saw many shoppers with ill-fitting, stained clothes (often w/o the appropriate undergarments), snarly hair and multiple missing or rotted teeth.

I mean, the entry level to do MS is that you’re breathing oxygen. You can see it here, with the poorly spelled and barely literate posts.
I do not really care what they call me as long as I like the shops. I used to shop a lot for them and have done my favorite of all time shops for them. For the past few years tho they only have a cell phone shop nearby. Some that are too far to drive to and make any money sound interesting. Hopefully someday soon they will have a good client where I live. I always liked them and felt the combo of reimbursement and/or fee was good.
