Market Force - no [fast food] shops anymore?

Since I've been reading others' accounts of a recent fast food restaurant's shops, it can't be that MF lost the contract with them, which I was wondering. I'd done probably 20 assignments...all accepted just fine...and then POOF...none has been available on my list of assignments available for a month or so now. Does anyone have an idea why? Sorry if this has been covered before!

They still have them in my area too. I am signed up to do one in about two weeks.
Nobody knows exactly how Market Force works. They are good to work for, but sometimes the wind blows in your direction and then other times it is calm. My advice to you is to keep your sails up!
Hi Singrwsm,

I dont know if you are aware that MF do have a policy of assigning no more than a certain number of FF shops per person per month. I suggest you give them a call, and ask to talk to Dorothy or Karen. I found them to be the nicest around. They will be able to tell you whether you have exceeded your quota for shopping at this particular client for the month/ quarterly etc.

Hope this helps. Good luck!
Cannot speak for you, but I see them all the time. Many shoppers love to do them. I just don't. I have seen the pay increase to $18.00 and more too.

Maybe you were outed. Once the shop IDs the shopper, the shops are removed from your assignment or shop signs-ins. The best thing to happened to me to have some shops basically removed from my shop network. My waist line thanks them whole-heartedly. (and I do too.)
I usually get a lot of shops for them here in NY. I decided to decline ALL airport shops permanently. Now suddenly all my shops are gone. all kinds, gone.

I emailed them, got a response that I need to wait until the current phase is over. I reminded them this was all the shops permanently, not for the phase. The instructions say it will stay removed until I notify them. And I was now notifying them.

BTW, why did all shops disappear when I only asked to remove the airport shops?

Anyway, now it's about a week later and I get maybe one shop a day on my account.
There was a time when they had upscale casual dining in addition to fast food. A shopper friend requested to be removed from fast food and was very frustrated because he could not see the UCDs in his area that I could see. Apparently either the shut off 'switch' turned off all restaurant dining or somebody took upon themselves to shut off the restaurant shops in addition to the fast food. He made a call and they returned the UCDs and showed him the FF stuff as well. He decided he could live with seeing the FF in order to be able to see and take the UCDs.

In your case if ABC had both airport and city shops they may not have been able to eliminate just the airport so just eliminated all ABC.
Had lunch at Ron's yesterday, and will be going there tonight. I'll also be dropping by a drive-in for a milk shake.
Singrswim, there is a new test to qualify for these shops that MF sent me notice of. I used to receive these offers everyday but they're not posted when I log into my account until I take & pass the new test. Look under "Shop management" then "shopper certification" after you login. You'll probably find the test you need to take there.

I got outed by one of the casual burger joints with the peanuts. The shop report was hideous, one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had anywhere, shopping or not. Those are no longer available to me. The location fought hard, actually saying that I told another customer not to order, lol. Predictably, they could not roll that on tape to prove.

I just did my last burger shop the OP refers to for quite a while. I am and have been way over my quota. Scheduler told me that fact when I took two at their request a couple weeks back for this weekend, but they were desperate to get them done. There is a dearth of shoppers in my area. These shops do not appear on my list normally.
So it's 'unacceptable' for all your timings to end in 0 or 5. What if they do? Are you supposed to lie to meet their demand that your timings end in non-round numbers?

Assuming an even distribution of timings - 20% of your timings will end in 0 or 5. 4% of all shops will have a 0 or 5 time for both points on WI or DT. 0.16% will have a 0 or 5 for all 4 timings on a location. I know that's not a huge number but think about how many shops they do for that client - it's thousands. Someone is going to get stuck with all 0s and 5s. Hasn't happened to me (yet) but the irrationality of it bothers me every time I agree to that statement.

If my timing ended in 0 I got an email telling me that it was not a valid time and not to do it anymore. It is what it is. If I drove up to the speaker at 11:30, that was what time I got there. If they don't want the truth I will give them what they want to keep from getting a ding on my recored. That is assuming they keep up with how many times you get an email telling you what you submitted is not valid.

I have some shop reports that are set up to only except certain answers for some questions. If your answer is not within their limitations it will not submit. If I can explain at the end of the report I will do so. If I cannot explain I have to just let it go.
That no timings end in 5s or 0s is just a joke. The law of averages states that at some point in time, somebody, somewhere will get there meal in exactly 10 minutes, but if you report that the the MSP--- you are a liar who wasn't paying attention. If you put 9:59 or 10:01, you are of course telling the truth.

Dependent on how quick I push the button for my lap time, we all know there can be a short variation in the time. I can say I was a second faster or slower and all is fine in the MSP world.

I think that some of our timings should be able to end in 0, but some MSPs don't agree. I try to be honest at all times, but if adding or shaving one second for an timing will allow me to get my check, it is just one in the wide variety of hoops I have jumped through.
If we don't play the game we don't get the check. These folks seem to have a few games.
