I love Maritz, they pay fast and are extra friendly.
Research Services Group ( RSG ) pays very quickly. Nice schedulers, too, Also , Informa pays quicy and is usually flexible on changing dates.
Yes....Research Services Group is a great company. I love their auto shops! $75 payments in two weeks or less!
Swan Consumer Logistics is bad -- very scammy. Stay away. They masquerade as a mystery shopping company, but they're just out to trick you into buying things.
I've had good luck shopping for and getting paid by Bare, Consumer Impressions, Corporate Research, Customer Impact, Customer Perspectives, ICCDS, Informa, Maritz, Market Force, MSI (Trendsource), New Image, QAMs, Satisfaction, Second to None, Bestmark, Jancyn, Feedback Plus, Person to Person, Sentry, Intellishop, Strategic Reflections, Consumer Service Experts, Sinclair and Business Resources. Hope I didn't leave anybody out; if I did, it wasn't intentional. No particular order here, all good.

There are many, many other reputable companies, and I've signed up with lots of them but have not yet been able to pick up shops.

I've only had a couple of issues. I did ten big box audits between Feb 2010 and Oct 2010 for GFK, who paid promptly. I wasn't picking up audits from them anymore, but they cut me as a shopper in July 2011 after I made a critical post responding to another poster. I also signed up for two shops with DSG. When I made the required call before the first shop, the conversation didn't go well so we didn't go forward with our relationship. I'm sure lots of people work for both these companies without a problem.

My definition of the best company: The one that pays me.

Mary Davis Nowell. Based close to Fort Worth. Shopping Interstate 20 east and west, Interstate 35 north and south.
Some of my favorites are:

1. NSS
2. Beyond Hello
2. Customer Impact
3. Research Service Group
4, Intellishop
5. Service Check
6. Integrity Consultants
7. Mercantile
8. Ardent

That is a few I do regularly, many more not having shops here all the time.

Live consciously....

do this for a month or two, and you will develop your own matrix - assignments, pay, pay frequency, reporting etc etc. You have to remember, many of them are nothing more than mom and pop shops. Input from others is useful, but you will always find posters who love one company while others are not too crazy about them.

satisfactionservicesinc.com has this :

Becoming an SSI rated evaluator is easy.
We simply ask you pay a small fee of $9.99 to cover the administrative costs related to setup, review of your evaluations, assigning a rating and moving you into the pool of SSI rated evaluators.

Does anyone do that? Aren't they supposed to be paying us?

No I do not know why they do this. You do not have to pay them to shop. And this is annoying. I do an optical shop for them and that is all. Long time pay and MUCH detail. I would like Jacob's take on this.
My favorites are Customer Impact and A Closer Look. Research Services is a favorite, but since their bank contract ended, I haven't seen anything from them.
Honestly I don't want to say. I racked up $200 in 4 days with this company. Doing the most easy reports I have ever laid eyes on. Shops can only be done between 12 and 4 on weekends usually and it's the same stores over and over. They pay amazingly well for something so simple. Then again you are evaluating the service of Sony reps more often than not. I just hope they pay, but I did find them on Jobslinger so I'm not worried.

Mventix
Sounds like mVentix to me.

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

my favorite MSC is Customer Service Experts however the shops I do for them is only Late Spring, Summer and Early Fall. They pay every 2 weeks and right on time also thru PayPal. Other MSC's are Bare, Bestmark, second-to-none, Strategic Reflections, A Closer look are a few.
My bad sferro, I didn't see where you had put the company name, LOL! Don't worry about them and payment. Like clockwork! Amazing company.

My favorites so far are

BARE
ICCDS
KSS
Mventix
SCM
AboutFace

They've paid on time, have been fair with issues, and have good schedulers.

Sincerely,
H.A.R.D. at work
Feedback Plus is my favorite, MSI my second favorite, but I also like Bare and Second to None. Strategic Reflections I would like a lot more if I wanted to buy shoes. Intellishop has also been good to me, but I just had to cancel on them and they may well have flaked me.

Feedback Plus pays fairly, and extraordinarily quickly. MSI, I gotta admit, I like them because they give me the most gushing, flattering feedback. Hey, I'm human, after all.

I am not seeing how to sign up to shop on Mventix's website. How do I sign up to shop for them?
Just like any regular position: Company - Job - Select the position you want. MIR is their mystery shoppers.

I love working for BARE. Their schedulers are quick and easy to deal with. One of them (Jason), even knew enough about my area to ask if my family and myself were safe during last year's devastating flooding. Big thumps up!

Corporate Research is also one of my favorites, only issue is their three day scheduling window. I like to preplan with all my companies at the same time, and have to gamble that CRI will still be available three days out.
did someone mention Harland Clarke? I love them. And Maritz, Pinnacle, and Sinclair. Bare because they provide lots of shops when they do their Scenario As and Bs. EPMS because, despite their long reports, they are honest folks. Informa because (when they have work in my area--not often) they pay well. I like some others because they are good fillers. Honest, but don't pay well and/or don't have a lot in my area. Not dis-ing them, but they are not my favorites.
I have had problems with BARE and KSS. The schedulers were mean to me at one time. I would stay away from Bestmark because they tend to nit pick. I like working for ATH Consulting, Caliber, Trendsource, ICCDS, Strategic Reflections and some others. It depends on which area of the country you are living in to where the mystery shop companies have the most clients.
