Freeman....

Weird. last night, just for fun, I logged into Freeman to see what was available. We might be travelling soon so I like to keep an eye out. "You are not eligible...." What? So I checked again tonight. Same thing. Does anyone else see this? Maybe they are working on the site, or maybe they gave me the boot.

There was nothing in my area so I checked Texas. 4 cities were listed, I checked all and saw 1 shop in each. Try Texas and see what you see.
Huh. I saw the ones in Texas. Sometimes MSPs take everything off and re-input. Either that is going on, or these folks lost a whole bunch of shops. The ones I see left on the board (TX, LA, MN, WI) are the same parent company as most of the others. I hope the parent company did not pul the plug on the program. Considering Freeman's accounting methods, I might be out a motel stay from last month if there aren't new shops to pay for the old ones. Oh, well. We were going to stay somewhere anyway.
They have nothing in CA, but one restaurant in Vegas and one in TX. No hotels anywhere I could see.

Did they used to have hotels in CA, Irene?

Hasn't happen to me. I go on their site several times a week. I just did a shop for them in July.
I hope you didn't get the boot.
Irene... look at International Falls, MN. Do you see a motel?

None at all in Iowa. There were 30+ as of last week.
My mom mentioned that she went on last night and could hardly find any hotel shops anywhere. There are usually a list of at least 10-15 for my state (SC) and I didn't seen any on there this morning. Anyone know what's going on?
I have been waiting for someone to post this as I have been wondering this as well. We were thinking about a quick trip last weekend and they do have some decent hotels that we like in certain areas. There is nothing at all in my state when last week there were at least 30-50.

I can't imagine I got the boot from them.

I have been wondering what was going on as well. I know there were quite a few hotel shops left in several states a week or two ago and then they all disappeared overnight except a few. Freeman still owes me quite a bit of money and I hope I am not out all this money. Most of the hotel ones that are left are those "DE-ID" type shops it seems, so either the client pulled the plug on the program or Freeman did. I think Freeman is moving over to the Sassie platform, so maybe they are in the process of moving everything over there. I know the theme restaurant shops are already on Sassie.

I checked yesterday and found hotels in severa southern states, including non-"DE-ID" shops.

Do you have a link for Freeman's Sassie platform?

And it looks like some of the hotel shops did actually move over to Sassie. Still only a handful comparred to what was on Prophet a few weeks ago, but I guess they are in the process of moving everything over.

I was wondering what was going on! All my favorite casino town shops gone! Do you have to register as a new shopper on Sassie? My regular login did not work.

I just registered on the Sassie site... it's a whole different system, so you will have to register as a new user there.

They owe me for six motel shops I have done over the last three months... I hope I don't have to get on the phone and hound them over and over to get paid like I did the last time I did a couple of shops for them. It will be three months in a few days since the first of this group was completed, so I guess I'd better get ready to do some fighting for my money. Any had any recent experience with them paying without having to hound them for it lately?

Try Indiana...still three on there.

I was thinking about taking a restaurant shop from them, but after reading this, maybe I'd better pass and just get a cheap footlong while out. Are they this bad about paying all their shops, or just the hotels? What are their restaurant reports like?
I looked in the IL area and found tons of one upscale hotel brand, but, out of the Chicago area, they were however, self assign.

No-- the parent company may be typically upscale but they have several tiers of hotels and the ones for Illinois are of the lowest level. I have done some of these before and have actually sworn off this lowest brand. You made me look though!

I did a resort hotel for them last year. It took over 2 months to get paid after several communications. That is a long time to have a chunk of$ tied up.

Check Tripadvisor before booking. I saw one shop in the Chicago area for higher end brand, but according to Tripadvisor it's a real fleabag. The shop might be contracted for to verify improvements, but I still would not take my kids there just in case.
To clarify, Illinoian here...these are not the actual HIGH END hotels of the brand being "listed" These are the low end hotels of the brand owned by the parent company. These are the very same low end hotels that were listed by their known names on the old Freeman site. DEFINITELY check addresses before you self assign to see what hotel you are getting.

Just be aware before you put your hard earned money out there that it may take up to 2 months to get paid. And you may have to beg for it. The hotel was great.

More like over three months!

Well them dirty dogs! I just signed up on the Sassie link and see all my casino and cruise town locations right there. Wonder why they don't bother to tell anybody, or at least their few devoted shoppers...trying to get rid of us???
Anybody done a shop from the Sassie site? Has anything else changed...report, reimbursement forms, etc. I usually submit my report from the hotel room and do the reimbursement paperwork later, sometimes past the 7 days they specify (letting them know and getting their approval in advance) during holiday travel or when I go on cruises. I usually have no way to scan them and insert into the report like a lot of them do. I see no contact links on the site. Wonder if that is the reason they switched...no contact info, no complaints?
If they paid sooner I would do more. Before the "mass disappearance" there were dozens of shops within 100 miles of me. I'd get emails, bonus offers... but I can only let one shop's worth get ties up at a time in case they don't pay. If I am going somewhere anyway, it might be different. But even then I don't want to lose the time it takes to fill out the forms while sitting in the room.
