Anyone done shops for Checkmark? I signed up with them a couple months ago, but everytime I check the job board there is nothing there. Even expanded the search to within 500 miles (just to see) and still nothing. Just wondering what's the deal with them.

My bad for not using the "search" feature here. I see a post from Flash saying they are no longer. Wonder why they don't take down the site.

They have paid the fee for a 5 year 'rental' of the URL and it would probably cost them money to have someone take it down. The most recent renewal expires in November 2012 and the site will probably die then. If you go to the main site, the FAQ for clients is "Under Construction" these days and I would strongly suspect that the toll free number on the Client "Contact Us" page has been sold or transferred to another company if it works at all.

Be very careful you are not getting into a scam. A quick check of their website shows it timing out 'taking too long to respond'. They would be an easy company to spoof for a scam, so let your good sense be your guide. When Checkmark was working their standard shops paid between $4 and $10 fee and usually didn't get much better than that. They did not pay in advance and they generally did not send out emails alerting shoppers to opportunities.

One of my favorites who did sandwich shops.Some good things never last.

We need to get an updated "Official List of Mystery Shopping Company" as this company is still showing up on the list below.

I'm thinking Jacob's new feature will point out the companies on the list that no longer exist.
