BARE Payments

Hey all! I was wondering about your experience with BARE payments through Tipalti. I just received my first payment with them for 2 shops, and I was charged a $4 fee. So instead of getting the $21 for the shops, I got $17. I do have it set up to pay me through PayPal. Has anyone experienced this? Is there a way to get around these fees? Thanks for your input in advance!

I just recently got paid from Bare using paypal and no fee was taken out. I am not sure if mine went thru Tipalti first. I do remember tho someone saying to check how your own paypal account is set up. As I recall setting paypal up as a personal account vs a business acct (they may call it something different but similar) will result in no fees.

Tipalti has never charged me to direct deposit my BARE payments.

Paypal doesn't charge the receiver, they charge the sender. If you want to send a payment for $12 and Paypal charges $4 for the transaction, the payer would send $16, the receiver would receive the $12 they are owed.

BARE payments are part of the fragmentation from them farming out jobs via iSS.

The iSS stuff pays via PayPal at what seems like totally random times a couple of times a month.

Haven't done a BARE gig on their own site in awhile, so I don't remember the Tipalti payout period, but I do remember it as being consistent.

Have synthesizers, will travel...

What kind of Paypal account do you have? If you the have the paypal account that accepts credit card payments (usually a business account), that could be a reason. I use a personal paypal account for places that pay via paypal for mystery shopping. I still have the "business" paypal account for when I am selling things and people want to pay with CC.

My BARE payments are set up thru Tipalti with direct deposit.

I just have a regular personal PayPal. Nothing attached to a credit card.

I was a longtime BARE shopper but their stuff kind of dried up. Never had a problem with payments. Received around the 15th of the following month.

I pass on their offerings. The ones posted even in my home town won't even cover the gas to get there and back.

I do a lot of shops in Canada in the ISS site and get paid via paypal. BARE recently posted some jobs including 1800 JUNK. I did the shop on 1st OCT but didn't get paid yet. When i inquired to intouch payment, they replied, BARE doesn't use intouch platform to pay Now, I am worried,how will I get paid?

ISS is just a posting platform. They don’t pay us. The MSC we contract with does. I’d review the contract and reach out to Bare if clarity is needed.

The BARE shops were posted in ISS and in ISS I am paid always via paypal so wont BARE payments be made in paypal because they posted in ISS
