I did one about a week ago to test the shop out. No problem. I actually saw multiple signs about flu shots. There was a separate line to talk to the pharmacist. This shop did not require a purchase. I was out in less than 10 minutes. Make sure you take the exterior picture if required. I have three of these this upcoming week in stores I will already be in or they are in the same parking lot. No, not "sooo much Debbie Downers" in the post. Someone mentioned the word compassion. Maybe filled with "sooo much" compassion, a Christian trait. Someone had the idea to start a thread on this forum asking, "What are you grateful for?" Maybe instead of being a Debbie Downer they are sooo grateful, but for the grace of God, things could have been so much worse. For most of my adult life now, and
The best plans, highest motivation, exceptional skills, perseverance, and whatever other positive attributes that contribute to financial independence are significant but not a guarantee. Again, life has curveballs....death, divorce, illness. I know people who were well on their way and in some case already financially independent and then tragedy... in an accident and paralyzed. Swindled.... I
There are three people who work for me who work very hard. Unless God intervenes, they will never be financially independent. Two quick stories.... One of them is in her late 20's, works full time, and is in nursing school. She is single with four small kids, and two of them have chronic illnesses. She had a husband who left her, was somewhat abusive among other things, and the inevitable divorce
I wouldn't do it for $25, and based on my distant previous experience with doing these car shops I would not do it for $45, but this shop really was test drive only. It is not a typical "dealership. In fact, Tesla locations are not really dealerships. Anyway, for this shop you really only had to go in and test drive the car. Yes, have about a 5-10 minute talk about what you thought about the car,
@MsJudi.... Yes, who knew there were so many different car wash shops. Since no one has mentioned an MSC, the one I am referring to is Quick Quack. Unless the rules have changed, it required audio recording only, and you do not get out of your car. Don't forget to use the vacuum to clean the inside and keep that audio rolling. It has been a few years for me, but I did about 4 or 5 of em until I d
I noticed one change in this shop. Now they want you to remove any out of compliance POP signage. Apparently, there is a separate letter of authorization for this called the Removal Letter of Authorization.
I see that they start at $25. Have they always started at that figure? I did one a few weeks ago at $40. Still low I thought, but I really wanted to test drive the Tesla. I also took the job because it was a "test drive" only shop. Anyway, so much for the test drive. The location I went to had no cars in stock, no cars to test drive. There was one ugly arse truck on display and that was it. I sti
It's been a couple of two or three years since the last time, and I mean the last time I did one of those. I find them a pain in the butt..... I always had problems downloading the the audio to the report.... And the report had a couple of narratives if I remember correctly. I got in trouble once because I could not tell if the person directing me in the car wash was a male or female. I was descr
@hbigdaddy... Actually, reading your comments about Tesla is what really prompted my interest. I am going to test drive the Y. I did test drive the Lucid Air (Dont think the top of the line was an option). They are OK. Nothing stands out about them to me. Typical EV driving experience. I would not do that shop again though.... Too much work. I had no interest in driving the Lucid. I mistakenly t
I am not interested in buying a Tesla... I have enough cars including an EV I purchased not too long ago (never in my wildest imagination I thought I would ever buy an EV... oh well). I just have never driven a Tesla and wanted to try it.... I am not spending more than an hour at the dealer including the test drive. I only want to experience the drive and at some juncture I will make that abunda
Anybody do that shop? The guidelines don't look too bad. There are a couple of narratives, but they don't appear to be anything complex or lengthy. I am not considering the shop for the money per say, but have been really curious and interested in test driving a Tesla for the heck of it. Thanks.

Order? have you not been to TdB or FdC? There is no ordering.
A churrascaria is a Brazilian steakhouse that serves meat in a rodÃzio style, where waiters bring skewers of various grilled meats directly to your table and slice them onto your plate. The term comes from the Portuguese word for "barbecue". Diners typically pay a fixed price for unlimited meat, a gourmet salad
These shops I am talking about are not at dealerships, as in car dealerships.....Jiffy Lube and Grease Monkey and similar quick change establishments....
@nabilino and @ DEE.... thanks! I have completed the single oil change before, and was wondering if the two car change is more complex regarding the evaluation and observation.
Looking for feedback on the Quick Oil Change shops..... You know, the one where you get two cars oil changed at two different locations??? Would you do it again?
@ Maverick.... Assertions are not facts. I could go line by line and dispute your myopic assertions, but I will just point at one for example. You said CA has a "law permitting shoplifting under $900." Nope. BS rhetoric, and I had over 13 years experience dealing with shoplifters. The current California Penal Code for petty theft (under $950) is punishable up to six months in jail and/or $1000
@ Maverick.... you said a LOT more than "it's not for me." Your post is riddled with assertions, and typically, included a slight on people not like you, states not like yours, and ideology different from yours, as if you, and I mean you, are better than whoever and whatever is different from you and your own beliefs. You manage to insert these sentiments seemingly someway in practically everythi
@ Maverick... I will take the five guys at base if I want. I am far from homeless. Thank you Lord! Someone might mistakenly think I am rich. I, like everyone else, is free to take or leave any shop. I happen to like five guys every once and a while. It's a free meal, down the street, and I do get a couple of bucks. It's still a profit. I have taken them at base, and up to $30, I am content either

It makes me wonder who was in charge of placing those stickers on the pumps. I never saw that job type posted and assumed it was the station employees that affixed them, like when they change POP stuff.
Correct. It was the stations responsibility to put the stickers on. The stickers are unique to each station. They are used for payment and contain payment information unique
You guys really like their food? There is one near my home that I drive pass quite often. I don't understand the rave. Yes, I have done their shops before when I got $15 bucks for going thru the drive through or pickup, but often would just eat the bread and drink an unsweetened tea.
