Re: Ty removals - 4 weeks ago

I don't think that CI is blameless here. Any time an MSC agrees to a contract where they cannot pay us enough to make it worth doing a job, they are part of the problem, IMO. They become part of the race to the bottom.

Re: Ty removals - 4 weeks ago

I am surprised to see some TY on the job board for January. I was under the impression that the whole project was cancelled. I didn't receive the normal email offering me the one visit I have been making regularly. Although given the $65 drop in fee, I wouldn't have taken it anyway. I am amazed (although not surprised) that a location that takes 2 hours per visit on average is listed at $1

Re: Mystery shops - 6 weeks ago

Hi M344. Welcome to the forum. There is a section of the forum named "New Mystery Shoppers" which is well worth checking out. There are some excellent pinned posts that can help you out. Additionally, you can find the official list of mystery shopping companies at the bottom of the page. This list isn't totally up to date but can give you a great place to start.

Re: When applying, do MSC see shopper profiles across platforms? - 7 weeks ago

While companies are separate, I believe that companies do sometimes share information whether it is formally or informally. For instance, I have been emailed an invitation to shop for a new company because I am signed up with another company. Schedulers and editors sometimes work for more than one company, so are able to 'see' you in more than one company's database. I don't believe this is su

There is a satisfaction in knowing that your feedback will be seen.

OP, we would love to help you, but you have to give us more information. Please tell us what site you are looking at. There are many sites that have shops offered and we don't know which site you are looking at.

Re: BARE International vs iSecretShop - 7 weeks ago

The platforms are different, so the grading systems are different. What I don't really understand is why some MSCs have started using multiple platforms. I guess some platforms are better for getting a large quantity of shoppers and others give the MSC more control over who does the visits.

Re: Reporting Bad Visits - 7 weeks ago

Over the years, I have had pushback. One location of Ace Hardware would always dispute bad reports. While the company may want the mystery shop, the franchise owners are not always so keen. A couple of times I have had the client try to get me in trouble with the MSC when the audit report was not good. One complained that I crossed the street dangerously to get a photo. Luckily, a piece of

Reporting Bad Visits - 7 weeks ago

Every time I have a shop where the employees don't do what they are supposed to do, I have a sense of dread. Not only are the reports longer and more complicated, it seems that these are the reports that are sent back more often. I fear the location disputing my reporting and getting banned from future visits even though I am reporting the truth. Does anybody else dislike reporting visits wher

Re: Pet Supplies Plus new round guidelines changes and lower fees??? - 7 weeks ago

As much as I hate reporting on my phone usually, I also try to report new-to-me shops from nearby. It means that I still have time to correct any issues if I missed something. MSCs add pictures like it is nothing, thinking it is only a second of our time. However, every picture is another chance for the whole shop to be excluded so it is added risk for us.

Re: BzzAgent project question - 7 weeks ago

Thank you. That is great information. Sounds like this is an anomaly for the company. I have emailed them about the issue and hopefully they will let me know how to proceed.

BzzAgent project question - 7 weeks ago

Has anybody worked with BzzAgent recently? They only do product samples for reviews at this time. I accepted one, not realizing that the review was supposed to be posted on a retailer site. I wonder if 'agents' who give less than stellar reviews get future products. Has anybody done the pet supplement product review? I cannot figure out how to even leave the review. I am getting a message

Re: Citrus - is it just my area? - 8 weeks ago

I wonder if the issue isn't actually that it has been warmer than usual this Fall/Winter in California. I am in NorCal and have things blooming now that shouldn't be blooming until March/April, so maybe this is affecting the citrus?

Re: Ty removals - 8 weeks ago

Out of curiosity, I looked online yesterday to see whether TY had job openings posted for in-house merchandisers. They have no open jobs. On Indeed, they have a lot of very bad reviews from past and present employees. It seems as if they treated the merch company (and us) in the same poor manner they treat their employees.

Re: pocket shop - 8 weeks ago

I don't think that is the reason for the name, as I am seeing the same term used for Pressed Juicery shops right now, too.

Re: Ty removals - 8 weeks ago

In late October or early November, I spoke to a manager in a gas station store about their empty display. They said that their company was in the process of getting somebody to do the TY merchandising. It sounded as if the gas station company (regional chain) was going to hire somebody themselves, but the manager was unsure.

Re: P66 time limit incorrect - 2 months ago

I think there is an inherent problem if the time to do the shop is first shown as 5 days, then changes. Seems like something Presto and the MSC should work out between them.

Re: Hardware Home Preservation Department Question for Secret Shopper - 2 months ago

I would except the instructions contradict themselves. So whatever I do, I am not following part of the instructions. If I don't hear back from them with an actual answer, I will likely cancel the shop.

Hardware Home Preservation Department Question for Secret Shopper - 2 months ago

I am scheduled to do a Hardware shop for Secret Shopper and am assigned the Home Preservation Department. However, the question given in the Additional Shop Details is for a different department. If anybody done the Home Preservation Department shop this month can you tell me whether you had this issue? I am trying to figure out the correct question to ask as the one listed seems incorrect.
