I was with the company under a year, they knew it had been a hard year.
Right now it's with the labour board and the tax department since yes they did mess up.
Sorry, for the delayed response pubicallly.
With my load in real life I shut down, even binged some pleasant projects (even if I might be lucky to break even)
I had a performance review for this job within a month of my termination. 85% over all, now even a boomer wouldn't see themselves as at risk at that level.
My employer tried to force changes on me, I cited the law, no. Nothing wro
I am still recovering on a mental level, and it does connect to merchandising.
As some of you know I've been on the road a long time, and in Canada there is always young companies coming up, and old companies dying. (Look up North 51 if you want a good example of old an dead)
About 8 years ago one company I had solid performance reviews, November 1st comes along, and hey let's cut your sala
Might be a bit old, but yeah I wish there were more companies like RQA. Pay by the hour, by the KM.
It's a good resume builder since you have to learn so many skills that can be sold to other employers.
For those complaining about rates.
Ask for a raise, the worse they can say is no.
Anyone who has worked as an IC knows there are days the bear gets you, and you get the bear.
One company sent me a normal e-mail, and it being a slow week I went to see what they wanted.
They wanted me to check 120 items in a grocery store, pay $14.00.
Yeah, I think I see why no one is doing that.
For the record Min Wage in my area is $15.75 an hour, and I doubt even The Flash could d
I am not going to name the company, but during my visit on the paperwork I could select no photos.
I figure given the low pay, and problems I had getting information in this would solve one more headache.
Now the company is complaining, "We need photos, send photos ASAP." I am citing the report that I said no photos.
The facts are this isn't like if I post a photo on facebook, or share i
Stilllearning, I am already with RQA...
Mousegal, I don't have the link. It's a long story, but here is the short version.
I was with RQA back in 2009, they got bought out by Stericycle. Eventually RQA would relaunch. Stericycle in the last year or two got bought out by Sedgewick.
I am looking for more companies that do this in Canada, since I enjoy being paid by the KM and the Hour. De
Hi,
I left the merchandising game a long time ago, and right now I am looking to expand my base with another kind of job like Merchandising that I do enjoy and seems to pay decently.
Companies like RQA and Sedgewick (Before this was under Stericycle) do product recalls for companies.
If anyone knows other companies that do work like this in Canada, could you either PM me please or leave a
I worked for them years ago, and was very eager to do so.
Well the luster went off the apple within a week.
Website that was at best designed by a drunk monkey high on cocaine.
Management that had no sense of how to treat workers.
I still remember the e-mail from my boss that said, "This isn't a viable relationship" as she axed me.
Now just to be clear I don't mystery shop, promote, or merchandise like I used to. Reality is local companies never raised rates, and I found better ways to earn a living.
During Covid-19 a job I loved turned south, new boss, new direction in the company. We all know the score card. I ended up taking a rebound job that for every day I did it, I hated it. I was living less than paycheck to payc

I think you hit the gong show and honestly, the people that don't realize you were fired from this company once em-Barrised themselves.
(Spelling on purpose, it's a pun: The Gong Show was produced by Chuck Barris.)
I might not have been old enough to see the show, but I've used it as a reference a few times.
I forget to mention last year we did the same song and dance, ex
I interviewed for them, and walked away mid-interview.
I found them unprofessional by hold a group interview for three different potions in three different areas.
I also didn't like the double talk. The ad said one salary, and what they said in the interview was considerably less.
I am not going to name the company, but they do hire merchandisers as regular employees.
Here is is the thing, first I was contacted by two people at the same company for the same job.
Second during my prescreening I said no to the salary. It was what I made over a decade ago. Hello evil thing called COL.
Third I told them no cosmetic resets. The reality is I've done my share of them, and I
Just to clear things up, I mean FSR or an FST as a permanent job, not as an IC.
Generally a Merchandiser in my area earns $15 an hour, with a +/- of $2.50.
While a FSR or FST earns north of $20 even on a bad day.
Now as Merchandisers we all know the job, go from site A, to B. Stock it up, fix it, refit it, ect, Rinse repeat.
Now for those of us looking at this as a carrier path (dangerous words). Going up seems to mean going into an office, which depending on your demeanour could be a fate worse than death.
Here is the thing I see (and have been contacted) to be a Field Service Rep, or a Field Servi

I think the final straw for me was they wanted me to quotes for 4 stores that were over 2 hours from me, one quote per store. When everyone knew I could've dropped the price if I made all four stores one big circuit.

Hope you don't mind me explaining.
To qualify for the CERB you can only make at MOST $1K per month (So $300 or so a week). If you make more than that you don't qualify, even if your hours have dropped.

I am in Canada, and we have CERB.
The problem is I don't qualify. I made too much, literally.
I guess the big question is how long do we have to do merchandising before we 'move up' in a sense.
I do like field work, calling my own hours, calling my own shots.
After almost 20 years of it, yeah saying, "Here is $15 an hour, and some mileage". When I make more at every other job I work. It's a hard pill to take.
Then again there is a reason why companies like this and others are beg
Like everyone Covid-19 is affecting my bottom line, so I am looking for a 4th job.
I've sent some CVs out, and a merchandising company did like what I brought to the table, and offered me the job.
Thing is the salary they offered was great for me 8 years ago, so not the best salary in 2020.
Even the woman interviewing me admitted it was for a Jr. Merchandiser position. Anyone ever heard
I don't know about where other merchandisers are, but around here things have ground to a halt.
Several major chains are closed, and the stores that are open feel like ghost towns. The general vibe I am getting is due to Corno-19 we're all on vacation for lack of a better term.
I was surprised when I received an e-mail from Crossmark saying they had a job for me. Been 3 years, so I figured
I've always been a great believer in the audio assault program.
Pick some nice loud music, and next time they call. Just pick up the phone, and blast them with it.
If they file a complaint claim it was an accident.
I work for another division of Stericycle as an IC. I've seen no problems/slow downs.
But its been AGES since they had any mystery shops in my area, like years.

I wake this morning and check my emails to surprisingly see a bunch of offers from Kern scheduling in my inbox.
It's a surprise because I very specifically switched my account to not receive emails offers a month ago when out of the blue, it magically toggled to the 'ON' position for emails.
I am signed up with over 200 MSC's. I cannot possibly read the volume of emails
