@joyce79 In response to your question about not using Gigspot...
It's buggy as hell. I used to get random error messages when applying for jobs from various MSCs. It was very annoying and there were a lot of jobs that I was just not able to apply for, due to random error messages.
It was a quick and easy way for me to find MSCs that had decent jobs available in my area though. As soon
Although I have not been able to snag one of these mini-excavator shops, I am going to have to agree with Karen on this. There are two sides to every story.
I've done a lot of shops for that company (and worked with Karen a lot) and I totally trust them (and her). I have never been burned by them.
I'm sorry it didn't work out for you, Demicher. I know it sucks.
LOL! They may have heard about this law that was passed this year. It doesn't outlaw the fees, but it requires businesses to disclose fees BEFORE the purchase.
I applaud this, because I'm tired of being surprised with an additional 2-5% fee for using a card, AFTER a meal.
Thanks, MisterBill. I dont see them in my area yet, but thanks for the heads up - Im keeping an eye out for them.
I don't remember though - what color do the pins show up as for these?
I agree with Okie. Turn off VPN, try incognito mode in your web browser, and also disable any ad blockers you may have. It may or may not help, but those are the easiest steps to try.
CHEYDOG - I have had to login to Marketforce on my computer using my browser's Incognito mode, ever since I signed up with them a year ago. I cleared my cache, cookies, etc. but to no avail. I had heard a few other people have this problem as well. It is the ONLY MSC I have this problem with.
Their login page loads fine in a regular browser session, but when I enter my credentials, I rece
I've been signed up with Curinos for a while, but 99% of their shops require an iPhone. Have any of you Android users completed any shops with them?
I don't understand their iPhone requirements.
And it's just like any other shop - you get into a groove after a couple of them. I lucked out a while back and was able to snag ***42*** phone shops for one client at $8 each, and was able to spread it out over a week.
When they allowed me to sign up for each one, I really thought there was a mistake and they were going to pull some of them back from me, but they didn't. Usually there's a
My minimum for a phone shop is $5 - and that is assuming that I don't have to wait for X number of days to see if I get a follow up call or contact from the client. What is everyone else's minimum pay for doing a simple phone shop?
Multiple MSC websites in the Sassie platform are reporting that they are down for mainenance. I started seeing it at 10:45AMD CDT. I don't think it was planned maintenance. I don't recall seeing any notifications about it.
Did anyone else see notifications about planned outages?
Answering questions here...
No, he did not call me a dumbass. It was inferred by his tone (but this was via email, so we all know how things can be misinterpreted via email)
No, I did not have any shops rejected by him. I turned the jobs down, based on his email responses.
He might be a totally cool scheduler for all I know. Maybe I just caught him on a bad day.
As per the posting guidelines on this forum, I am not entering a personal insult. I am only making the statement that this person is not easy to work with and is very quick to insult you in a demeaning way (for example, what are you? A dumbass?) if you inadvertently apply for a shop that requires you to be an existing customer for the company they want to shop. I totally understand that requir
@lowcloud - I have done two locations that were permanently closed and they paid me $5 each. I haven't done any of strange places that I know will not work. In my area, one is a bail bonds agency, one is an attorney's office, one is a place that you can rent an office from for the day. Really weird stuff like that.
Is anyone else having problems accessing the phone and web shops for Bare? It's been happening for a week for me now (with multiple web browsers).
When I click on the black bar on their job board that says "Web & Phone Shops - Click bar to access assignments that do not require physical visit" nothing happens.
I've received a couple of emails from them about new phone jobs, but I can
I've only been doing mystery shopping for a year, and although I have had some very late payments, I have yet to be cheated out of any payment. I'm signed up with 20+ MSCs and I have about 400 shops so far. I do agree with the OP (Nabilino) that there is no easy way to track all of this stuff. It's all manual, and if you aren't keeping good records as you go, you will end up with a big mess.
@CoolMusic - I can only dream of the days when i'm able to go on a three day bender (er, I mean road trip) to do mystery shops.
Seriously though, I envy you.
Good luck on your route, and be safe!
I scouted another location for the Visa Debit card shops this afternoon because I was afraid that it is going to be a very small location and hard to get pix of the merchandise and especially the register. Well, it turns out, it is a VERY small business. It's gonna be very difficult to get any pix inside of this shop. The customer area is about 8'x8', and the employee area is about 10'x10'. I
I have had good luck with these shops so far, but I had a mom and pop convenience store the other day that gave me a debit card receipt with one date on it and when I asked for an itemized receipt, it had the current date (2 days later than the debit card receipt). I was kinda worried that they would not approve my shop, but they approved it very quickly. I was a happy camper!
Hey everyone, i just finished another one of these and i noticed they now allow TWO photos of your Visa Debit card for those of us who have the required info on two different sides. I guess they are listening after all!
@galct, take a picture of the front and the back, and then create a collage of both photos using Google Photos or your built in photo editor. Just select both pix, and then select "make collage".
Hope that works for ya!
I TOTALLY agree with @wrosie ‘s comments.
The phone shops don’t pay a whole lot, but if you can find a handful of the same ones, it’s easy money because you can get a rhythm going and get into a groove. I usually pass them up if they are less than $10 and I can only get 2 or 3 of them. Most of the phone shops limit how many you can do for a certain client (but I recently stumbled into a gold
@zoneranger – I’m still a newbie - I have only been doing this for a little more than 6 months, but I have the following opinions:
1) it's definitely fun
2) it definitely keeps you busy
3) don't invest in a video camera for shops – opportunities are few and far between, so it will take a while to recoup your investment
4) * visit this forum often for advice and tips
5) Be prepared to spen
To answer a previous post, I did one at an ice cream shop a while back, and a picture of the menu board was accepted.
I have another question - I've seen several for places that obviously do not have prices listed (or anything for less than $20). Has anyone completed one of these shops? Two that stick in my mind are:
1) a credit union (there are a couple of other businesses inside this bu
