Re: Perspectives on Sr Living and other assignment fees - Yesterday

I have thought about trying these shops out here in California but most of them pay a pittance like SBP said. I remember going to look at a few with my mom( not on a mystery shop) but there were many more things to consider beyond what an apartment shop might ask about and the pay on most was $30-40. I am sure they are narrative heavy as well. Gas here is in the $6 range.

Re: Is an Iohone 6 Enough - 3 days ago

I only know of one company that requires an I Phone. If there are a limited number of your msc that have this requirement I would call them and ask. Personally I use an android but for that one company I checked it out with them. For that one company they required a phone that could download the latest version of the Teams app and also screen share.

Re: Loan Inquiries Shops...Are They a Headache? - 19 days ago

SBP in answer to your questions above, yes you do use your own credit score and name. There are several different msc that do these shops so I am not sure if they are all the same across msc but the ones i do I have to supply my own info and credit score but no personal banking info is required. The shops are often a soft pull which supposedly will not ding your score. They often will ask if y

Re: Gatekeeping MS information from a friend - 21 days ago

I have taken friends on shops with me and one of them actually started shopping for a while but as mentioned by prince most find it is not as wonderful as they thought and never move forward. To me the bottom line here is it sounds like you do not really trust her but it also sounds like she might never mention to anyone else your mystery shopping even if she takes it up on her own. Depending o

Re: Would you do this? - 4 weeks ago

Deciding if a shop like this is a deal depends on your reason for shopping. If you are shopping only to make bucks to support yourself you are not looking at these lifestyle shops except as a treat to those you take along who dont need to do the many reports.

Re: Nike $10 reimbursement - 4 weeks ago

Some, no many, of these shops are absolutely insane. I did a different Nike one which was an online order and return. I dont remember what the fee was but whatever it was I would probably do it again if the fee was $100 in today's dollars. It took me days and was much more involved than even those lucrative financial shops with less screenshots for hundreds of dollars in pay.

Re: Issues with mystery shopping - 4 weeks ago

Since I live in a very high cost of living area with a very slow mph driving speed around this town it annoys me that the pay seems to be the same everywhere in the country and miles from my home rather than time to get there from my home is often the only thing they are considering when applying extra pay.

Re: Amusement Advantage… - 4 weeks ago

Its been a very long while since my kids were young but we had a lot of fun on these shops. Yes it was work for me but i enjoyed being able to take my kids so they could enjoy it. The reports were long but not at all difficult and I found ways to make the "fee" larger.I remember at the zoo making a game out of the many food shops required. We had a rolling lunch/dinner game where we ate one part

Re: Figuring your hourly wage - 5 weeks ago

Each person needs to figure their costs for themselves. So if you personally do not have any extra fee for your smartphone then that does not apply to you. I am 10000000% sure that there are people with older equiptment that they had to upgrade in order to do these jobs, especially while on the road. ...lIkewise if you have done the shop a hundred times already you perhaps do not have to figure

Re: Figuring your hourly wage - 5 weeks ago

I would also figure out the time it takes to look for, read guidelines for, and enter the report. For me that time is more than the time I spend at the location. You also need to figure in the costs involved in your printer, computer, smart phone etc. If you had a job somewhere in someones office you would be supplied with the equiptment you need for the job.

I particularly do not like to hand the print out of the gift card over to the server as I wonder if they will start to recognize them. I have purchased gift cards at xmas time in the past and they did not look like the gift cards they send us. Especially as it gets further and further away from winter holidays I feel I might be outed by that holiday scene. I would suggest just printing out the U

Re: COSTCO: No admittance of non members doing shops? - 6 weeks ago

I live in So Cal and my costco has ordering kiosks in our outdoor food court. Its a pain to me but they are checking to make sure you are a member reportedly because their $1.50 hot dog and drink combo is a loss leader that they use as a perk for members. They had too many non members coming for lunch all the time and were losing too much money. In any case you go to the kiosk and put your order

If no one here knows you can probably contact the restaurant directly. I would suggest calling one of the locations that you are not going to do a mystery shop at. Tell them what you have and ask them why they say you cannot use them with a discount because you thought they were a gift card you were gettting. I am sure they have been getting people using them a lot as these xmas bonus cards usu

Another way to get in if you are an older white middle class looking woman ( I dont know about any other "look" as i only look like one type of person) is to go to the exit door and ask them if you can go and use the restroom.

Re: COSTCO: No admittance of non members doing shops? - 7 weeks ago

If your Costco has a pharmacy by law they have to let you in. I am not sure but I think this is nationally. You would not be able to purchase anything from the rest of the store without a membership but if the job does not require a purchase I doubt they would notice you wandering around once you were in. I guess it would depend on how much you would stick out based on the job you are doing the

Re: Sadness..... - 7 weeks ago

I do not qualify for the low credit score shops but I DO qualify for the ones for high credit scores which i see more frequently. If you are only speaking about bonused shops those are often shops where there is a reason those are left over such as in the credit score shops perhaps lower credit score people often do not qualify for a different reason such as delinquencies on their credit reports

Re: A difficult situation photography and dark audits - 8 weeks ago

They had that deal last week but I missed it at my phone data provider. This week they wont take a 3a in trade. The other phones I can get cheap from them all require a different plan than the one I have. @Morledzep wrote: I got my pixel 10 pro with a trade in for less than $200.

My Pixel 3a is almost 6 years old and it can take a night photo with clarity. I bought it on Backmarket several years ago. It still works just fine but looking into a newer phone I saw they are selling the 3a for under $100 which is strange as 3 years ago i got mine there for around $115 used. Check with your cell data provider as they sometimes have great deals on phones with a trade in. Th

Re: Acronyms and Abbreviations - 2 months ago

My best advice is just to ask. Some of the acronyms used are regional , some are generational, some are based on the people each of us spend time with. I would suggest if you have a younger or older person around you ask them if you cannot find it. Unless the acronym is hiding the real name of a msc or a client of one generally when someone asks what it means they get an answer...But sometime

AT my CVS they have a separate window for talk to the pharmacist. There may be a line there but it will be shorter than the line for picking up a prescription. When I did mine no one was in that line but the regular line was very long.
